I have a Morse sewing machine and it was working great. I broke my needle, put in a new one, and now the needle will not pick up the bobbin thread. What has gone wrong. I need help because I am in the middle of a project that I really need to finish.

I have found that certain brands work better in certain machines.

After you check to make sure the needle is put in coreectly and you still have the problem, then try a different brand of needle.

shmetz (sorry I have trouble spelling this one.)
dritz
singer are the three most available.

I had a White that only took Bernina or Shmetz. otherwise I had the same problem. I was tipped off abuot the brand of needle by the sewing machine repair man.

are you sure you put the needle in correctly? needle eye has to be front to back for bobbin thread to go through

If the needle is in the correct way,try to lower it or raise it until it catces the tread, you probably have a needle of a different lenght of the old one.
