This happens all the time at the school I teach at!
I go over the stubborn part with a different dry-erase marker then wipe it off.

black_cherry_cat has it correct... Simply rewrite over that section with the same color marker... let it dry for about 15-30 seconds and then try to remove it.
It might take 1-2 times but it should come off.
After that... since it has been 6 months you want to give your board a good cleaning before you use it.
Mix a simple solution of 50/50 water and alcohol in a spray bottle... spritz the board with a mist and give a good cleaning with a soft cloth like a face cloth. Nothing harsh or abrasive.
Then rinse your board with clean water and dry it with a soft towel. Make sure it is completely dry before you try using it.
That's It! You can find more on cleaning dry erase boards and other information at our web sites listed below.
Good Luck

i used to work in a resturant and someone once did this, use cheap hairspray, spray it over the maker, then wipe it off, it takes a little elbow grease but it comes clean, even makes it whiter than before. just make sure that you only spray a little at a time.
trust me it works and you don't have to buy anything that you don't already have on hand

I honestly have had issues of dry eyes and contacts for decades. i have had to apply all sorts of eye drops and gels in my eyes! month-to-month Proclear (Coopervision) lenses were extremely large for me. i might want to point you try those if achieveable! also, unusually, I had more effective issues of dryness and inflammation even as utilising more low-priced storage options. I now use ALCON OPTI-loose teach answer and that i'll't advise it pretty adequate! i imagine this can help will your dry eyes too.
