one is in the center of everything and really cosy but very small and old.

Another is newer, bigger has a great view and all preferable facilities but 25 min walking distance from everything.

The last one is completely new, little lack of charm but luxurious and driving distance from everything.. Prices are the same more or less for all 3 of them.

How did YOU choose your home? Any secret tecnique i do not know about?

I own a two family home and the last tenants were smokers even though they were told not to smoke in the apartment. The smoked primary in the bedroom I was told wiping the woodwork and the walls with vinger might help, any other suggestions

Although I'm sure she means well, I can't stand her trying to clean my house when she's over with my son for dinner. She does not do a very good job, and sometimes I feel she is actually damaging surfaces when she uses Windex on everything (even though I've asked her many times not to use it).

Is there a nice way of telling her not to clean up? I'd rather just do it myself.

I am going to stain the outside of a house the wood siding on the house has little football looking figures in it where they must have patched spots at the factory. I just need to find some way to make it match the rest of the wood as I stain the exterior. Some of the football patterns dont match the wood color will it stain the same??

This new apartment I moved into is crazy. You can hear every bang from the neighbors. All I heard all morning (starting @ 6:00- and I am NOT a morning person!) is boom boom bang. Doors closing repeatedly, etc. Is there a sound insulation that I can put on my walls? I can't put anything in the walls because I don't own the place.

Our 2 year old fridge freezer keeps dumping water about a ltre at a time.It is not connected to any water supplies. We have tried all different temps and not overloading it too much but the water keeps coming. It seems that the water drips down somewhere and accumulates before just comiing out.It drips into the bottom of the fridge (freezer is at the top) and after forming a pool then drips through the door onto the floor which is where we find the pool. Please help as our guarentee ran out in August.Thanks.

I have a maisonette with reinforced concrete walls so drilling through is a nightmare, there is no obvious drain for condensation. I want to keep the water tank. The current (traditional) boiler is located in a bedroom. Can I have a boiler which is not condensing and still have a certificate to satisfy my letting responsibilities.

I am having trouble removing a couple of bracket hinges from my Frigidaire dryer. The model number is FDE7970EW1, but I can't find the exact schematic for this dryer on-line. Not that the schematic would really tell me how to get these bracket hinges to let loose.

Here is a close shematic...

The bracket hinge is shown on page 2 of the above PDF file. It's labled part "20". They HAVE to come off first in order to open the cabinet. I've obviouisly removed the screw labeled "2". No matter which way I pry on pound on the casing, I can't get these things to let loose. Anyone know the "trick"? It's driving me nuts!

I am getting new carpet and the above colors are already apart of my room through the bed spread and curtains. I plan to make an afghan and need to know what colors to put in the afghan. Lavendar, green, red, pink, burgandy, gold, brown, tan, blue. I already know that black, grey and white will go with anything. I need to know about the other colors.
