I have a lot of silver items which i need to clean. I have heard that using products that we already have at home can be used to efficiently clean silver without having to buy costly silver cleaners at the store.

I planted a precious palm tree in the summer. It was doing great! Now that it is cold and icy I've noticed that it is turning brown but it is still standing. Should I take it out or give it a chance?

im thinking to have a fire in a ceramic flower pot in my backyard with it elevated off the ground with bricks so the holes at the bottom can let air flow in. but my concern is that wud the pot itself crack? explode? it's been in a kiln. so doesnt that mean it's fire resistant? if it's not safe. is metal better?

My wife and I bought a little "starter kit" on a vacation and got two sprouts (and have followed all watering instructions), but one of them has since dried up and died. We're afraid for the other one -- what can we do to keep it alive (it's about 2 inches tall)?

We have a stackable washer and dryer. I was drying clothes today. I went to check to see if the load was dry. I opened the dryer door, they were not completely dry, so when I went to turn it back on, it did not work. I checked the washer and it works fine. I looked at the back of the unit and noticed that the vent hose has a large hole in it that was never noticed before. Could this have caused the dryer to overheat? If so, what can I do to fix this myself? Or, is there something else wrong? Please HELP!!

I just moved into a house that has no bath tub, just a walk-in handicap shower. My two little ones HATE showers, so I need to find a way to give them baths. I can't think of anything other than setting a plastic storage tub in there, but there HAS to be a better way. Is there a product that will convert this shower into a small tub? Or do you have an ideas on how I can accomplish this?

Finished installing Titan tankless water tonight and it seems to work fine in all my sinks etc , but in the shower it doesn't seem to be able to keep up? Is there something I can do that anyone knows of or is it just that the water flow is greater in the shower? I have it turned up on high right now and it is drawing the stated 56 AMPS on high ... all sinks run great and HOT, but not the shower? HELP!

I have just bought some clothes with the new fashion of crinkled fabric. the fabrics include silk, cotton and polyester and a very fine see-through cotton. The instructions say to use the broomstick method of washing to ensure that the clothes remain crinkled. Can anyone who has successfully washed these types of crinkle clothes (skirts, blouses) give me some advice on do's and don'ts before I attempt to crinkle wash the clothes?

I have a very large garden and cannot afford to use water saving granules, and a lot of the garden cannot absorb water anymore, because of the drought (Australia). I have been told that I can use a few drops of biodegradable dishwashing liquid in a bucket of water and start putting this around the garden and the soil will be able to absorb water again. Is this true? anyone done this? I don't want to kill the plants that are left.....
I do mulch, but the water just sits on the top of the soil and rolls into little balls.....

Should I just leave it in the same size pot it is in and add more potting soil? Why is there something on top of the soil that looks like some mold or something.

I'm looking for some Do It your self, not to complicated, but just something for the family.
I'm not old enough to drive, and I need soemthing that isn't alot of noise to make.
I can shut my door and make it in the cloest, and then put it underneath the bed (witch is a bed where it's sopported up on posts, has 5 draws, and then it has about 3 feet of empty space)
Please, for the guy named "man" who's answering all of the questions as "If you need something about --- visting this site:" please, don't bug me.
