Is there a way to treat bad termite damage yourself? I have several floor boards that are eaten up. Don't see any termites but would like to prevent them from returning.

Contact an exterminator, they perform ground contact spraying, they often create chemical barriers aroudn they house and it's likely you need to treat the entire house as spraying one area will only cause the bugs to move to another area..

Good friend is an exterminator.. (Pardon the Fram ad ripoff) but you can pay now or pay later.. Pay an exterminator $600 or pay someone to fix your house, $60000. ? Your choice.

You might want to look under the floors and make sure there is no structural damage too, also look around your exterior walls for any small dirt tubes going up the side of the foundation. If you find any fresh ones you may want to have treated professionally.
They can do alot of damage in a very short period of time.

They must have water...if there is a leak under the house, fix it. They need wood, darkness(this is why they tunnel) and water. Without any one of these..they will die.
