What colors go with Purple and lavendar?

I am getting new carpet and the above colors are already apart of my room through the bed spread and curtains. I plan to make an afghan and need to know what colors to put in the afghan. Lavendar, green, red, pink, burgandy, gold, brown, tan, blue. I already know that black, grey and white will go with anything. I need to know about the other colors.

You need to use a color wheel. What other colors will there be in the room? your accent colors should be in the afghan. I've included a user friendly color wheel below that will give you lots of options. Play around with it until you find the color combination that works for you. I could just say yellow but that would not give you all the hues of yellow.

For a carpet, I would go with a neutral color. You might want to change your color scheme at some point. I don't know if you were thinking of matching the purple or lavender or not. While this may be a good pick for your room now, it may limit your
choices for future decorating/makeovers.

You can work with the purple/lavender through your accessories and wall color. I think a soft lavender or a pale, pure sage green would be a lovely color for the walls.

As far as the afghan, I think I would stick with just a few colors that complement the lavender/purple. I'm thinking shades of sage green, (pale and a silvery, mossy shade) creamy ivory, and shades of plum.

You could go to a paint store and collect a handful of paint chips. Try several combinations to determine what looks nice with your present decor.
