You didn't say what kind of group members are exchanging white elephant gifts...office? church/Sunday School? neighbors?
club members? etc.

Is there a price range specified?

I'd check out some thrift stores, Salvation Army, Goodwill, etc. for some really tacky home accessoriers.

Once, my office staff exchanged the same "white elephant" gift for several years. It always went to the "newest" employee. The gift was one of those hideous lamps made of sea shells, complete with plastic flamingoes, tiny turtles fashioned from shells, plastic alligators, etc.

I hope I have not offended any beach, shell, or nature lovers out there - I live in Florida myself, and I think shells are lovely, but...

The gift would be beautifully wrapped, and the look on the recipient's face was always priceless.
