I have an ugly wood colored formica countertop, and wanted to know if it's possible to tile right over it, or if I have to rip out the existing countertop?

Ok I'm going grocery shopping tomorrow and I need to get a new dishwasher soap (either liquid or gel packs, doesn't matter) and I need to know what the best kind is, because everytime I wash my dishes in the dishwasher the dishes (mostly glasses/cups) on the top rack never get clean, they usually have a dirty film on the outside or dirt (like from the other dishes below) stuck on the inside of them! How can I get ALL my dishes clean? And do dishwasher cleaners (the cleaner you can buy and run in your dishwasher to clean your dishwasher not dishes) really work or are they pointless?

I've made centerpieces with manila folders shaped as a cone. Then I sprayed glue on the outside and glued silver tinsel along the outside of the trees. I've made 60 of them for the centerpieces. The tables are going covered with white cloth, black overlay and red napkin holders. We've purchased 300 balloons were are going to blow up. I only have about $50 left and I need to dress up the tables more? Any suggestions for more decorations with my $50?

Is it a polyester blend or what? If it isn't real suede then what is it? I am buying a suede microfiber couch and was going to try Scotchgaurd but they don't recommend using is on suede. So would it be safe since it is not real suede?

Our son over-watered our Christmas tree, soaking the tree skirt. The sopping wet tree-skirt has been sitting on our floor all day. Now there are dark water stains where the boards join together. Is there anything we can do about this besides refinishing the floor or replacing boards? It's a brand-new floor!
