I have ironed clothes for 40 years, I have found the best starch to use is Faultless Concentrate, it comes in a gallon bottle. You can mix the solution you want depending on items you are ironing. Example, my husband likes his work pants stiffer than he likes his blue jeans, I spray a light coating on all tee shirts, it gives them some body and makes them more stain resistant. It seems to help end the white flakiness that you get with spray can starch also....it just really adds a crisp touch to clothes, linens, etc
