I'm looking for a desk at least 60cm deep and 1.5m long that can hold my computer and peripherals and still have space for me to write on. Oh, and space for my legs to stretch underneath.

I got mine online at Homebase.
It cost £60, and has two drawers and a shelf on the right, another shelf for the hard drive on the left (with a door), a pull out shelf for the keyboard, and plenty of leg room.
It's 60cm deep, and 130cm wide.
It took a couple of hours to assemble.
I looked in IKEA and it was disappointing

Second hand shop next to the old five bells pub in New Cross Gate, South London. There are always chairs and stuff outside - next to the billboard, opposite the traffic lights. The chairs start from £5. Or you could always try Argos (you did say cheap?!?)Good luck

Try your local auction house. Often there are bargains to pick up on the general / household days. Also, you have a chance of picking up a quality item.
