Pain & Pain Management - October 2007

Ok can somebody help me out here, this has just happened I walk on my tippy toes and i can't help it thats just how i walk, now sometimes when i do this right at the arch of my foot a sharp pain accurs and it feels like a bone slipped out of place sometimes i can just pop it and its nothing but this is really hurting this is like the second time this year it has happened and im sitting here in pain, is this something serious i need to go get looked at because now i can't even move my damn toe or walk on it, I'm hoping around the house like some hurt bird. Please help.

Sack on bottom of heel treated with cordzone shots. Partial releaf. Then had problem with the bottom of foot, can't recall name, Started with a P. That went away after PT, but I truly believe that the problem I have now was caused by the PT. Top of foot swells up,sore to the touch,some times ball of foot feels puffy. No redness. Big toe joint sore. This did not start till after PT. Xrays show nothing , Urik acid blood test normal. HELP.

My physio told me to day that my legs are very hyperextended!
Can someone please give me a detailed explanation of what this it and what it does! Is it a good thing or a bad thing? Was i just born that way or what? Im very confused!

Well I need to know what to do I've seen a doctor yet this is serious and I am freaking out over here! I don't know what else to do MY LEFT side of my body is going numb and it really scares me They told me it is something called RADICULOPATHY some kinda pinched nerve yet no one is explaining it or what i should be doing for it please help I have too kids who need me to teach home school and this numbness is awful nothing is changing colors as of yet but it is real scary for 1/2 of your body to basicly go to sleep while the other side is wide awake !!! any help will do thanks

Hello there I am 16 years old and I have had some bad back pain at one point for about a day or two I really couldn't move I had to like lie down on the floor and not move. Now when for example we play a card game and I deal after about 20 minutes I get lower back pain like a tighten pain. My parents said that it has been to my overweight which I gained alot of weight quickly I have recently lost 25lbs and moved down to 235lbs from 255lbs. Back pain does run in my family. But I am 16 years old and I should not be having any back pain right? What can be causes this and is it serious?

Recently I find myself falling into deep drug-like naps during the day. I don't hear anything and cannot remember anything. The nap can last from 30 minutes to almost 2 hours. It is difficult to waken from them and also frightening. This seems to be happening daily lately. Has this ever happened to anyone who can share with me. Thank you. Mandy

I've had a severe headache for 2 days, and it won't go away, even after taking Tylenol, Advil, and Exedrin. It's so bad... I'd probably go to the hospital if I could afford it. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I do ballet and recently started pointe (toe shoes for those of you who don't know :P) but whenever i go up on pointe my left foot cramps REALLY badly. It was getting better but i had to take a week off due to a sprained ankle, and it's doing it again. i take calcium supplements every night and eat a banana a day and nothing. any other good remdies?

I've got homework to do and I need to get rid of this headache. I can't consintrate and I took medicine and i'm not feeling better yet (been about 20 minutes). Over the counter painkillers do not work for me. Neither does a heating pad. How can I relieve the pain from this surgical scar tissue without having more surgery? My doctor gave me some Vicodin in the past, which did help, but she is worried about addiction with that. So I have to find an alternate pain relief. Please help, going out of my mind!

I'm a teacher, so I'm on my feet pretty much the whole day. Lately, my feet have begun to hurt immensely near the heels. If I sit for a long time, and then get up, it's almost impossible to walk right away. They always hurt, even when I'm wearing comfy shoes. What's wrong?
