A LITTLE caffeine might help, a little tea, (cold or hot,) coffee, or a caffeinated soft drink, such as Coke or Pepsi. (Avoid Mountain Dew as it has lots of caffeine, and the clear soft drinks that tend to be caffeine free.)
Look at the lighting levels where you are. If you are in a dark room with a concentrated light on what you are trying to study, the glare and contrast can cause eyestrain and trigger a headache. See if you can equalize the lighting in the room.
Write down all the things you need to accomplish in the next day or two, prioritzing homework first. If you are worried about how much you have to do and are worried about forgetting something important, you can let the list carry the worry. It will be your job to do only one thing at a time. Freeing yourself of that responsiblility will help calm your mind. You can check off the tasks as you finish them and this will let you see that you ARE accomplishing what you need to do.
Make a point of breaking up the tasks you have to do into smaller jobs. It's easier to tackle small jobs one by one than one giant task.
Give yourself a 5 or 10 minute mental health break. Set a timer on your phone or a clock. Find a comfortable sitting position. Turn down the lights and any outside noise if possible, TV, music, etc. Close your eyes and think of a place you find peaceful. Hold that image in your mind. If anything else starts to sneak in, consciously return to your peaceful place. Imagine yourself walking in this space with people who make you happy and doing things you enjoy. Breathe deeply and enjoy this place. Promise yourself you will return when you have finished your homework.
This exercise should lower your pulse and blood pressure, and in itself should help relieve a stress headache. When the timer goes off, you should feel relaxed, and ready to start.
Remember any stress you feel is coming from within you and you have the power to make the stress go away. Good-luck.

Take the maximum amount the bottle says. So if the Motrin says take up to 1000mgs every 4-6 hours, take that much. No more, no less. So if you only took one, go take another one.
You need to know what kind of headache you have, If it's only on one side, it's probably a migraine. If it's across your forehead, it's probably a tension headache. There are many different kinds.

You really should see a doctor and tell him/her everything; how often you get them, where they are on your face, which meds work sometimes, etc. You may need a prescription medication that will clear those nasty headaches right up.

I've heard that Head-On works great! It's expensive ($12,) but worth a try. (I hear it's also great for menstrual cramps!) There's no reason you should have to be suffering. Keep searching for the right med. My husband swears by Excedrin. And then there's Tylenol, Aleve, and aspirin. You can buy the generics.

Good luck to you! See a doctor! :)

Squeeze your pressure points (a good one is in between your index finger and your thumb, press around there youll find it) it may hurt at first but it will help out your headache. Also drink a lot of water you might be dehydrorated and try to avoid light and sound.

OK I'm not being perverted or anything because this really works. An orgasm self induced or otherwise will cure a headache. Yes really. It triggers a massive endorphin rush that does a pretty good job of kill whatever pain you have. With headaches it seems to provide long term relief.

WITHIN A FEW SECONDS IF ACUTE!

There is no medicine for H/A OR MIGRAINE. Not only these but for almost all painful diseases. Hence they become chronic.
Acidity, WORRY, sadness, excessive wind, cold , heat, sour food and sinusitis, constipation, intestinal inflammation; drug side effects, stress, bad smell, TV & COMPUTER SOMETIMES,
Blockage in the flow of Vital Energy are their causes. None of them can be treated with medicine. Our 100% success in treating migraine &H/A confirms it.

Acupuncture is the best treatment.
I can treat it with naturopathy and YOG, but how can you manage pl see.

Pain killers don't treat the pain but we loose the sense of pain for some time; in that duration our body itself treats sometime and credit goes to meds.
The useless drugs have tremendous power of side effects.
Avoid late sleeping if possible; worry, spicy foods, sour fruits, stale bakery foods and alcohole.
Sweet foods, COCOANUT WATER,sweet fruits, milk, rice, SPROUTS, SALADS and good sleep will help if cough is not there.

But you try one herbal remedy- two drops of drumstick leaves' juice in opposite nostril if one side pains and both nostrils if full H/A will give you rescue. Betel leaf helps but it is very strong.

If it is acute pl search a painful point 3-6 mm behind your thumb nail and press it, H/A will disappear within 30 seconds.

1) Wait for the pain medicine you just took to kick in.

2) For future reference, I believe it's advil that makes a disolvable pain killer. It works a lot quicker, as it doesn't have to wait to disolve in your stomach.

3) Try a 30-60 minute nap.
