I had surgery about 3 months ago and since then I get this on again off again sharp breathing pain in my lower back. When it comes on it hurts really bad. I have been to 3 different doctors and had a chest x-ray and chest cat-scan done and they don't see anthing. They don't think anythings serious is going on that that it is related to the surgery. They just tell me to take Motrin to make it go away. The pain is not constant, but it has been happening for almost 3 months and when it happens, it hurts really bad. Does this sound familiar to anyone and if so what are your ideas?

A couple questions.
1. How much does it hurt?
2. How long does the pain last?
3. Are there any things that should be expected after the piercing? [ I know like a pimply thing but anything else?]
4. Does it hurt afterward? [description of pain]
5. If yes, for how long?
6. Any advice before I get it done?
Thank you.

For several weeks now the muscle in my lower abdomen which I believe is called the pyramidalis has been hurting when I walk or try to jog. It has been keeping me from doing any abs workouts. It all started when I began playing ice hockey again after 4 years of not playing. I thought it might be just soreness from not playing in so long but it does not seem to be going away. I looked online but have found nothing and my ex is a surgeon and she said to just keep taking advil but that has not helped. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

The pain feels like someone is drilling in my head. It hurts so bad that I can not move until it passes through. I think it has something to do with my nerves but I am not sure. When it happens it tenses the whole side, and it is only on the right side.

The longest that the pain has ever been has been for 30 sec, but during that time, like I said I couldn't move any part of my body. It was like being temporally paralazyed. Does this make sense to any one, or has any one experienced any of this.

Any information would be very helpful.

When i talked to my docter, he told me it was due to stress and unhealthy sleeping patterns. But recently i've experience, twice, this absoulutely unbearable pain in my left side underneath the heart. I do not know why this is. Both times occured during lunch time. Once while i was eating, the other time when i just woke up 1/2 hour ago. Both times it lasted for about 1/2-1 hour. The first time, i went to my doctor, the pain was just starting to ebb away, and he couldn't find anything wrong with me. He just told me to buy some painkillers and if that doesn't work go to the emergency department of the nearest hospital. Is this pain possibly also due to stress? Or is there something seriously wrong with me?

I can understand the cause of sharp stabbing pains, they are because of the muscles that are contracting...

...but what about all those excruciating aches? The way your spine feels as though its about to snap at any moment? The way your legs feel like they've marched 1,000 miles? The way your stomach feels as though its being crushed!?

Why do the ACHING pains occur?

I have a great deal of pain in the thumb (basal) joint in my right hand, also, there is a prominent bulge in the area. Obviously, arthritis is the culprit. Does anyone have similar experiences and recommendations for relief of this problem?
