Try taking a bioflavonoid called Rutin, which you can get at GNC. It helps heal broken blood vessels and that's essentially what hemorrhoids are. Warm baths and topical ointments well help the symptoms but you need address the cause by changing your eating habits. Add more soluble fiber to your diet, lots of water and no reading while on the "john"! If you have time to read, you weren't ready to "go" and you will cause too much strain on your rectum. Sorry, no other way to say it.
