For several weeks now the muscle in my lower abdomen which I believe is called the pyramidalis has been hurting when I walk or try to jog. It has been keeping me from doing any abs workouts. It all started when I began playing ice hockey again after 4 years of not playing. I thought it might be just soreness from not playing in so long but it does not seem to be going away. I looked online but have found nothing and my ex is a surgeon and she said to just keep taking advil but that has not helped. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Read The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook by Davies.
Trigger points are knots in the muscles making them tight which in turn causes them to apply pressure to nerves and other places.
