Are you in physical pain or emotional pain? To me it sounds more emotional and Vicodin is a narcotic pain reliever that is not indicated for depression or other emotional distress. Vicodin is only giving you a false sense of well-being that is temporary; it is not getting to the root of the problem, and that is how you get addicted. I know this is probably not what you want to hear, but it's the truth. As a pharmacist I see many patients who are addicted to pain killers and it just frustrates me that their doctors keep feeding their addictions by prescribing them more pain killers instead of referring them to a specialist who can really help them. I am glad that at least your doctor is not doing the same. If other antidepressants aren't working maybe you should see a counselor or psychiatrist who specializes in cases like yours. Tell them what has worked and what hasn't and they might be able to try something else, but you have to stop thinking that Vicodin is the answer to your problem.

There are so many parts of your question that I can relate with. I know exactly what you mean about feeling a good sense of well-being when on vicodin - I have always called it feeling "normal". I have several physical conditions that have caused me to be on and off narcotics for the past 15 years (from migraines to degenerative disk disease and now fibromyalgia) and I'm only 42.
I have had a lot of experience with doctors and have found that there are those who just refuse to prescribe any form of narcotics even though they may help - it sounds like you have one of these. If it's possible, switch to a doctor who is at least willing to prescribe narcotics as part of your health plan.
Once you've found someone who is willing to prescribe them (you may have to ask around to find one) make sure you bring him/her a complete medical history of all the meds you've been on and how they have effected you.
Since you've been on them before you must have had a reason to be on them. Is that health issue resolved? If it is depression and not a physical problem you are being treated for, it may be more difficult to be prescribed narcotics.
Also, make sure you are seeing the right kind of doctor for what you have. Who is prescribing these anti-depressant drugs, etc.? If it is someone in the mental health field maybe see a general practitioner also and after telling them your symptoms ask if there are any tests that will help identify what is going on with you. They will be the ones who can refer you to other specialists.
Don't be afraid to get a second opinion or to switch doctors.
Sorry you are hurting - good luck finding what you need!

ok you should proceed to be calm. if you're a first time mom then no this no count number what the well being care specialist says some circumstances a mom jus is conscious issues that no longer even a glorified rfile can see or tell without delay. you want to get a humidifier and use vicks interior the humidifier it really is an exceedingly sturdy device. Now you do no that a toddler's temp is larger than ours, so for them 102 is like us having one hundred or one 0 one ok. because you're a clean mom it really is frequent for this to scare you so except the toddler's temp grows larger attempt to stay calm and trust your well being care specialist. If the toddler's temp starts to strengthen any larger then take the toddler again to the ER and tell them in an exceedingly extreme pitched voice there is something incorrect and also you stupid all people is lacking It i understand My newborn. this isn't any longer basic procedures to always handel that variety of difficulty in spite of the undeniable fact that it really is extremely powerful as a very last hotel because there are issues now and again that in uncomplicated words a mom can tell about their toddler.

Vicodin is a med used to relieve PHYSICAL pain and you are looking to use it to relieve psychological pain, It is a placebo for what you want to use it for and you will find if you try to use it this way that you will require more and more as you build a tolerance towards it. Trust your doctors try other methods drug addiction such as you can develop with vicodin will only lead you down a more depressed path then you already feel you are on.

There is all kinds of junkies doing the same thing. If one anti-depressant didn't work, try others until you find one that works. In the long run you will find that you will have to take more and more drug to get the same effect and no dr. in his right mind is going to prescribe it to you.

Read The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook by Davies.
Trigger points are knots in the muscles making them tight which in turn causes them to apply pressure to nerves and other places.

Vicodin is very addictive and will eventually destroy your liver.
It makes a lot of people feel that same good happy way, but it also takes control of their life and kills them.
After a while your body will adjust to it and you'll keep having to take more and more. It will become expensive and you won't be able to stop. Furthermore, your liver will eventually die.
