About 10 days ago i fell at work and went to the doctor he told me it was sprained on bother sides of my foot and ankle...he put a half hard cast on it and i have been on crushes i have tried putting weight on it but when i do it feels like my foot it going to sleep like i get that tingle feeling. can any one tell me why or what this is i go back to the doctor today but i wanna know what it is before i go! thanks nicole

The doctor told me the best exercise I could due, to my HEEL SPURS, FIBROMLYGA & OSTHEO-ARTHURITIC Would be on a treadmill, this way I could stop anytime I wanted to..If I walk outside and the pain hits, what do I do?????? That`s my problem ans Also I can`t afford a treadmill on retirement

My 11 month old son has a hairline fracture in his right leg. He just got his splint taken off and has received his cast today. Any tips on how to make him more comfortable and also how can I help him sleep at night. He was up basically all night for the past 2 nights.

I was just getting done brushing my teeth, and I had been standing in the bathroom for awhile... all of a sudden, I felt really light-headed. Next thing I know, I'm picking myself up from the floor. I felt better after sitting down for a few minutes. When I went back into the bathroom later, I noticed that I had knocked off pretty much everything on the counter. My face hurt (I think my straightening iron fell on it) and the back of my head had hit what I believe was the door frame. I have scratches on my arm from hitting the stuff on the counter.

I see no reason for me to have been lightheaded... I had eaten 2 hours prior, and a few hours prior, I had been working out and had lots of water to drink... I'm athletic and healthy, and I'm on no new medications or anything. I'm pretty sure I only blacked out for a couple of seconds. Any advice??? Should I be extremely worried about this???

Alright well im at the worlds smallest fever apparently ahahha ... only like 99.1 so its not a big deal AT ALL.
but ever since i finish crying bout something 2 days ago lol, my nose is having this WERID and i dont even know if it IS painful or what!.
Ill breathe in or out either way and then a sharp feeling will hit a nerve and go straight up to my right eye ( its the right nostril thats feeling like this ),and then it will water,,,become big , so my right eyeball is massive ahaha and my left is normal..yadayada yada...
is this anything worth worrying about? because i look like an idiot when it happens every 2 seconds ahahah.
Its uber hard 2 explain..:(

I hurt my knee 4 days ago playing rugby. The day I played rugby I didn't feel much pain. I could walk for the rest of the night. The next morning I couldn't fully bend my knee, but I could barely walk for the rest of the day. The following day, I couldn't walk anymore. I felt so much pain. So I ended up going to my school's health services, and now I am on crutches. I get to see the doctor on tuesday, so he or she will give me the verdict on my knee's status, but what do y'all think? What is it? knee sprain? broken knee? ligament tear? cartilage damage?

I am going in tomorrow morning for medial meniscus tear. I was wondering if the surgery is usually done with general anesthesia or local? Ive heard they can also do an epidural. What kind of anesthesia did they use on you for your meniscus surgery?

Any one out there ever had post concussional syndrome? How long did it last and how did you treat it?
I had a car accident and since then I have had non-stop headachs and get very dizzy all the time, which leads sometimes into seziure type of behavior, sometimes I loose consienceness sometimes I don't. My hearing and sight also are impacted when I have an eposode and my pain level goes to a 10 immediately. Life has pretty much sucked since this accident, I can't even drive anymore.......Now they are also telling me I am showing early signs of something called RSD, a nerve disorder.

Anyone have any experence with this syndrome, or RSD?

My knee is black and blue.
IT hurts really bad.
I've been to a doctor and they drained a bunch of fluid outta it.
Ive been iceing it and doing what they told me. I went back cause it wasnt getting better and they drained fluid again but no much this time.
WHats rong with it?

OK, so I was stupid enough to run on the track without shoes (I forgot to wear sneakers) and the track was pretty hot.

Not long after, my feet began to hurt and I discovered that I'd formed blisters.

I have a cross country meet (3.1 miles) TOMORROW??? How can I get rid of these blisters/ the pain as soon as possible?

I do NOT want to miss the meet as I've been training for it ALL SUMMER LONG.

Please give me any advice!!! I'm really stressed out!!!

This morning I had a little swollen area on my hand. Later I noticed it was red and the line went to my wrist. Hours later it's halfway up my arm. It is a little sore and itches at times. What is it and should I see a doctor?

And my face is really swollen now. I have two black eyes and my entire nose is swollen. I don't really know how it happned, and I just want to know how I can get the swelling to go down as quick as possible, is there anything I can buy from the store that will reduce healing time, or any special advice you can give me on the subject of swelling and bruise healing time? America is supposed to be one of the richest countries in the world yet you guys have to pay for medical treatment. I dont understand this. I live in australia and we dont pay a cent unless we decide to join a private health fund and then we do that only so we can go to one of the few private hospitals ,96% or so are government run.

Hi there! My 18 month old baby climbed over a high chair and fell over to onto the carpet (a 4-feet fall) landing on his right-hand/arm last night. We took him to the A&E immediately and after the X-Ray, it revealed he had a fracture in his elbow but the bone wasn't broken, just disjointed ('clean-cut' I think was their technical terminology). No wonder he cried for almost 4hrs, poor boy. Just wanted to ask if anybody knows how quickly this will heal and when he'll be back to his usual self? The doctors have given him a half-caste plaster and sling and he seems much more happier this morning. We have a meeting with the Fracture Clinic tomorrow morning but anxious on any information people might have which hopefully will put our minds at rest. The joys of parenthood, I know! Thanking you in advance for any advice you may be able to give on his recovery process, thanks

i was sparring earlier today and caught big straight to my nose. i t started to bleed alot for like 2-4 min then the blood started to stop rushing out of my nose but whenever i put a napkin up there i see blood on the napkin, its not crooked and i dont see swelling nor bruised eye. just when i try to push the sides of my nose it hurts but theres this tiny bump on the bridge a really tiny one where you cant even see it and have to touch it to feel that there is a bump. when i roll my finger down the bridge of my nose it doesnt hurt as much but when i press it it hurts but not much but then when i look into my nose with a flash light theres this straight line cut on the top on the inside, its not a long one just a short one and its the same place where the bump is. also this is all happiningin my right nostril my left nostril is fine only when i push either side it hurts

im a baller, an artist, and video gamer. for about 3 weeks, over the summer, i played basketball at the y for 2 hours, and then when i come back from playing basketball, i play video games and i draw. then one day, my arm felt weak. i couldnt shoot very well in basketball. cuz my arm was weak, but i dont feel any pain. my doctor said, dont worry about it. i dont trust my doctor lol. anyways, what is this?? is this strained elbow?? or tennis elbow?? or is it nothing that it my arm becomes weak when i overuse my arm??

most people who had strained elbow or tennis elbow, they said there is alot of pain and weakness on ur arm.
but i dont have pain, its just weak.

my parents think that sometimes it happens when i overuse my arm
my right arm (good arm) is weaker than my left arm (weaker arm). if i feel my right arm, there are less muscles than left arm now. its been a month. my arm is kinda sore, just when im playin basketball. what should i do?? what is this?? IS THIS PERMANENT?thx

I hurt my ankle a few days ago and it still really hurts when I walk on it! It was swollen when it first happened but now it looks fine. I think I need crutches but my middle school only let's you have them for 3 days with out a doctors note. What should I do? I want to go to the doctor but I think he's going to say I'm fine because my ankle looks fine but it hurts really bad!

I started working at the gas station, and have an previous injury flare up. I have thrown out my shoulder lots, and have tendonitis and bursitis in it. From washing so many windshields my shoulder hurts real bad from only 40 hours of work. Is there anything i can do or maybe the doc can or is this just not the job for me?

i had a broken ankle and now i could walk with it so can i just open it my self i could TOTALLY walk with it and the doctors take for ever in line so could walk with it i think its ok now, should i open my cast?
