Alcohol is fine if you can tolerate the burning sensation. Is it bleeding? If it's bleeding, put a band-aid over it tonight. You can apply direct pressure to it. If it's not bleeding, you might want to put a band-aid over for the night it just to protect it from the bed covers. It might be close to OK by morning.

You'll be fine. I used to cut myself all the time when I shaved. Never used alcohol, mainly because I thought it would sting and never bothered with Neosporin either although it certainly is not a bad idea. I simply washed the area I cut with lots of soap and water. Never got an infection and am still here today, alive and well and able to answer your question.
Edit: Oh yes, put a bandaid on it
and NINE CRIMES....I just gave you a thumbs up. I hope that makes you feel a little better but I also think it was very nice of Union Dooz to suggest that her boyfriend plant a kiss on her booboo.

it will be no big problem, but if you are worried about bleeding in the future, go to your local pharmacy and tell the pharmacist you need a Styptic Pencil, it will be in the mens shaving section it is for cuts from shaving, and works really well, it burns like heck for teh first few seconds but it works.

Hi...the best way to get a cut to stop bleeding is with direct pressure on the cut using a sterile gauze pad. Keep the pressure on the cut until it stops bleeding into the gauze. Change the gauze frequently.

Have you never gotten a cut before? Just wait for it to heal by itself.

It's unbelievable that I've gotten two thumbs downs but the idiot below me hasn't. I at least contributed to answering the question. He's just trying to be clever. Jeeze.
