I was just getting done brushing my teeth, and I had been standing in the bathroom for awhile... all of a sudden, I felt really light-headed. Next thing I know, I'm picking myself up from the floor. I felt better after sitting down for a few minutes. When I went back into the bathroom later, I noticed that I had knocked off pretty much everything on the counter. My face hurt (I think my straightening iron fell on it) and the back of my head had hit what I believe was the door frame. I have scratches on my arm from hitting the stuff on the counter.
I see no reason for me to have been lightheaded... I had eaten 2 hours prior, and a few hours prior, I had been working out and had lots of water to drink... I'm athletic and healthy, and I'm on no new medications or anything. I'm pretty sure I only blacked out for a couple of seconds. Any advice??? Should I be extremely worried about this???

What you describe is not 'normal' for a healthy adult. It could be a blessing, however. You could have experienced one of the signs of diabetes. What you ate two hours earlier was being digested when you blacked out. Regardless, you need to see a Dr. to be sure you are o.k. Sometimes people who pass out never 'come-to.'

Last night I was feeling light headed and my ears sounded muffled I put my head down and then went into my bedroom where my sister told me I had passed out but my eyes were open. I don't remember anything I only remember walking in the room and then her asking me if I was OK and realized I was on the floor. It took a while for me to shake the dizziness afterwards. Today I feel anxious and definitely confused about what happened. Anyone ever experience this before?

I think u are either ignoring or have missed any other symptom, it might seem small but might be very helpful , any smallest discomfort u should tell...secondly u seem to have passed out flat while u were carying out your normal activity , i suggest u atleast see a general physician and get basic work up done like blood x-ray and all .My final advice dont try to figure it out yourself ,or take this lightlyit can be dangerous,... you can provide only complaints which will guide the health care proffesional u go to in the direction he will investigate and treat...and before u go to him make a list of any discomfort from morning to night u have on a piece of paper..... he might see something u are missing!Hope u get well soon .May god bless u!

I had this very same thing happen to me. My doctor put me in the hospital and ran tests on my head and heart. I have an irregular heart beat and also low blood pressure which causes me to pass out occasionally. My doctor told me to make sure I drink plenty of water as this is what carries the blood to the brain. Good luck, its scary I know!!

It could be a fluke, but probably not. You should get a thorough checkup by your primary physician. You could have low blood sugar or low blood pressure. The fact that you were drinking while exercising suggests it was not low potassium. I can assure you if I passed out for no known reason I would be in my doctor's office ASAP. What would have happened if you were driving? Please get a checkup.

Staying awake for long periods and not eating can easily lead to a psychotic episode. It doesn't mean you're crazy, but your mind and body can only take so much. Before you wind up having to call 911 on yourself, you need to let your parents know about this. Get help. Don't rely on the jokers on Yahoo! Answers for advice about things like this.

Hm.... its hard to say, better to have medical check up. Maybe you got low or high blood pressure. Not enough oxygen get to your brain so you faint out. Hard to say from outside.
Live happily, ^_^
