Nicole,
Isn't that why we go to the doctor? to find out what's going on?

I have some ideas though. It sounds like there's a problem with circulation, hence the tingle feeling. You don't say if your toes are normal in color, size, temperature. You may have torn the tissues and as you rise the fluid flows into the damaged area. This fluid can also cause the tingling.

Talk to your doctor. That's why he went to school for so long.

Good luck, Nicole

The going to sleep is because of reduced blood circulation (probably caused by the cast). I am sure the doctor will help you.

Also try Rescue Remedy Spray at the sprained area (a Bach Flower Essence available at many health food stores).

I know it may hurt but the only way to heal a sprain is to move it and walk on it. Use your crutches at first so you're only putting light pressure on it. Also, I've badly sprained my ankles more then a few times and it never took 10 days to heal. They usually healed before a week was up.

the tingling is from reduced nerve signals going from your foot to your brain. This is usually caused by compression of the nerve somewhere along the path. It is most likely that the nerve in question travels in between some areas that are still swollen causing compression from activities that normally wouldn't.

It sounds like you have myxoid liposarcoma of the ankle (ankle cancer).

Try to enjoy the days you have left.
