no idea why they are called so? They do really hurt though, I have had quite a few in the past, they don't last long though, just a couple of hours, but it is just a very tight pinch of skin, usually caught in something or a trapped finger! The bruise is immediate as it is a very small piece of skin, think cos the bruise looks black is why it gets its name? Not very politically correct though eh!

Give someone a black mans pinch by nipping the skin of the forearm. Kids do it to one another for fun! Subcutaneous haematoma is both the medically and politically correct term

as long as a normal bruise does blackmans pinch means you dont know how you done it but unawares you knocked yourself on something
