You should let the doctor decide when to take the cast off. You may think that doing so a few days sooner may not hurt, but have you been to medical school? If not, then it's unlikely you fully understand the risks of removing a cast too early. You may find it's a huge mistake and end up having to wear one even longer than just 3 more days.

Be safe, and do what the doctor tells you. It may seem like an eternity right now, but it'll actually be over before you know it.

No. You won't have the support and you could re injure it. Just give it a little more time to rest. Think of it like something you have just glued. It sticks together, and with only a little pressure it would be okay, but unless you wait until the glue dries completely, it will not be as strong as it would be if you had waited.

of course not. you should call the doctor's office and ask. if you do decide to take it off, get an ankle brace from Sports Chalet, or Sports Authority or something. just in case. i almost reingured my ankle when i wasn't wearing a brace. so you should.

good luck

Let the Doc do it.
He knows his business - you don't.
I know it feels OK, but that's with the support
of the cast. Leave it on for the three days and
get it checked out properly.
