I've Been drumming for 14 years, I started when I was 6, I am now 20. Just recently my right wrist has hurt severely. I can barely bend it back while my left hand I can bend it and rotate it as much as I want. The trouble is in my right wrist, thats what I use on the Hi-Hat. Like I stated the problem just started happening it hurts to even push myself up out of bed or even pick up anything heavy. Any Help?

Severe nerve trauma. Broken left mandible in 1999. SFGH doctors placed metal plate and did severe nerve damage. Plate removed two years later. Third UNNECESSARY surgery 2003 incision outside face major damage. Pain: neck muscles, teeth, gums, nerves: lips, uncontrollable spasms, must massage constantly. Think about suicide often, but I am a fighter. Pain so intense I can not smile or laugh, difficulty breathing and chewing (digesting food). Teeth do not align properly. Jaw does not rest comfortably, must move constantly, can not control pressure of muscles biting down, always tense muscles. Assymetrical face, left side droops due to third surgery. I had broken jaw in 1988 with just wiring the teeth, no metal plate, healed fine, no nerve damage. (private hospital, good specialist) Never have metal plate put on jaw. Wiring the teeth is enough. I am open to any ideas. Any kind of volunteer cutting edge new technology or surgery is not too outlandish for me. Any suggestions

I am scheduled for surgery on my medial miniscus. How long was your recovery? How long was your physical therapy? What do I need to know about this surgery before I have it? Any tips on a quick recovery?

I've just started playing tennis and both of my "big" toenails have cracked WAY down by base. The toenails are still connected, but I'm afraid they will soon get ripped off. I'm wearing good, tennis specific shoes with plenty of room in them. What can I do?!? I don't want to have messed up toenails! (And it hurts, too!)

Ten days ago I woke up with a "crick" in my neck. The pain moved to my head and has not gone away. Is the chiropractor the best first choice for trying to alleviate the pain in the neck and the headache or should I seek medical assistance? Thanks.

Just out of curiousity, if you have a ruptured eardrum and it's not infected or anything, is it possible it can heal and it own and hearing can recover fully?

he fell off a rock cliff and broke his C4-5 and L1, 2 &3. We have been in ICU for two months now. I want him to go to rehab but we do not have the resources to pay. We hav ebeen aproved Medicaid from the state. But we have had an awful time just finding a place who will take it so that he gets agressive care. He has no chance at survival if he does not get the care that he deserves. He will give up.

I talk to him about the options and he listens somewhat. I do not want to run myself to death if he does not want this.

Anybody out there have a family member who was or is like this?

I would like some input about what is going on and how do i survive and cope with all that is going on.

i have been having knee problems lately. i work out a lot and it started at the beginning of the summer while playing basketball. it just recently started hurting again except a lot more. there was never a sudden injury, it just started hurting. it is painful on the inner side of my right knee. i can sometimes feel it "grinding" and it pops whenever i use it. iti have been icing it 2 times a day this week but i can not tell any difference. i have no history of knee pain ever. i am only 15 so take that into consideration for what you think it might be. my guess is that i may have torn cartilage, because of the grinding. It is also painful to the touch on the inner side right between the kneecap and thebone, in that dip. when i walk my knee will sometimes "lock up" and my knee will jerk. right now not doing anything, sitting here typing this it hurts. lately it has started grinding when i walk also. what might the doctor recomend? an MRI? any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.

It doesn't look deformed in any way, but it hurts (feels stuck) when I move it. I hit it yesterday while I was running on a tabletop. I'm not sure. Should I keep it straight (my comfort zone) or should I bend it (hurts)? Please don't just say doctor, elaborate.
