Ciprofloxacin (brand name: Cipro) is a powerful antibiotic from the Quinolone family of drugs. As mentioned above, it is FDA approved for treatment of UTIs and other kindey infections as well as gonorrhea and anthrax. This drug does not have a significant effect on scar tissue, although rarely its use has been associated with tendon rupture

Do you mean Cipro, a broad spectrum antibiotic? No it has no effect on scar tissue unless there is an infection in it.

It's Cipro, and it is a strong antibiotic.

I can't imagine what it would do for scar tissue, unless there was an infection.

Cipro is a broad spectrum antibiotic. The Pres. was given it when they had the Anthrax scare a few years back.

Are you sure you don't mean cipro instead?
