Hi, I have suffered from dizziness for the past 16 months. I went to see my GP about it and they did blood tests which all came back fine. I went back about a month later and they suggested it could be to do with diet, my dietician was convinced that it wasn't but tried different things, none of them worked.
I went back a couple of times and on the last time got told that I would just have to live with it.

I have now changed my GP surgury.
A couple of weeks ago I went to see the new GP who decided to do blood tests, i have now had a letter from her saying that other health professionals have looked into this problem in great depth so she isn't going to do any further investigation!

I also have a mental health problem and my psychologist doesn't want to give me anything until my dizziness is sorted but nobody will look into it.

I really feel I need to go back because the dizziness has been really bad lately but I'm scared to go due to this letter.

What can I do?

I seem to be living on 7 hours at the moment, but it never feels enough, problem is, being a night owl, I can't seem to fall asleep before 12am even though I try! What time you get to bed and how many hours do you get?

The other day I helped my friend carry her drums, and i was the only one carrying the really big bass drums and we had to walk a long way to reach the stairs in school, then my arms suddenly felt numb then I couldn't seem to bend it and i was shaking. Until now my arm hurts like hell. It' been about 3 days, and I think it's getting worse. I've tried several liniments though but none seemed to have effects.

Someone told me years ago that if you take a certain vitamin (or something like that) when you have a cold it gets rid of it double quick. Any ideas? I have a stag night tomorrow and the way I feel right now, I'm not going to enjoy it. So any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Is a blood clot the same as Throbosis? My friends mom has another blood clot, but this time not in her leg. The Dr says its quite serious. Isn't thrombosis specifically for your legs or is it a general blood clot? What can one do to help?

I have a sinus infection. my doctor has me on antibiotics and a nasal decongestant as well as taking advil for any pain. The past day and a half i haven't been able to sleep because of the pain from the pressure.......it is all on the right side of my face...the pressure is making my ear hurt, my mouth and my head. i have tried putting both a cold and hot compress on it to try and make some of the pain go away and that works for a little while but the pain is still there. does anyone have any suggestions on what to do to relieve some of the pain?

I'm having what feels like muscle pain on the outside of my left hip. I feel it when i'm laying down, sitting cross-legged, or standing up and bending my knees (that's when its really bad). It almost feels like its cramping a little and is hard to straighten back out. I am 22 years old, and i broke my right ankle in June of this year, and I was on crutches (with my left leg being dominant of course) for 9 weeks. is it possible that the pain in my hip is related to it?

I have a hard time sleeping at night and I have thought about getting something over the counter to help me sleep, but I am afraid that if I take them I will be too groggy in the morning to get my girls ready for school, any suggestions on a kind that will help me sleep but won't leave me groggy?

i got prescribed hydrocodone after i broke my arm. i have trouble taking huge pills, and let me tell you, those things are bricks. they're HUGE. anyway, the label says not to chew or crush...
now i'm curious to know..
people who use this recreationally, if they chew or crush it, they would be loaded all at once right?
BUT..wouldn't their high be shorter since its all getting absorbed at once?

i was just curious and when questions like these enter my head i have to know the answer haha.
thanks.

I am addicted to putting ice in my mouth and swallowing it. It's a very extreme habit, I do it at school, when I get my break at work, at home, etc. I just buy a soda, throw the liquid away and start 'eating' the ice. I even fill a cup with ice before I go to bed, take the ice cubes and just pop them into my mouth. Everyday, I ingest soooo much ice, I need to know if this is harmful. Thank you.

I don't know if a national health system or gov't subsidized insurance is the answer, but health care costs are insane! I need health insurance, and it is going to cost me almost $200 a month!!! There are cheaper ones, but the co-pays are so high, I may as well not buy those. I'm 25 and a non-smoker, it should not cost that much. Why does it cost $10000 to fix a broken arm? Ridiculous.

Some days after eating or drinking, the pain seems to stick in the right side where the laproscopic surgery was done....sometimes it takes days to clear up.

It's frustrating because a lot of times it interfers with my sleep and makes me very tired the next day.
