Just today I got the skin on the pad of middle finger partially ripped off. I cleaned it, folded the skin back into place, slapped a bandage on good and tight, and let it sit for several hours. When I decided to peek at it, I noticed something... Most of it had healed, but in the middle of the wound, there was a pocket of purple blood. I assume this is simply because it got caught up in the space between the skin and the flesh beneath it with almost no way to circulate itself. Is this normal? Should I remove the skin that was partially ripped, or should I continue with what I'm doing?
