He is exhausted and nearly 60 and can hardly walk he is so exhausted. He gets double the amount of work than other people at his work do and is so ill. he is going to the doctors tomorrow as he is worried, we all are. is there anything that can be done about his work. He told them he wasn;t coming back but nothing is in writing. Any advice?

A lot of companies put pressure on people who are close to retiring.

If they can get the person to quit or walk out rather than finish work properly, they can pay less pension.

I'm sure the company he works for has sick leave time for him to sign. His doctor would need to give him a notice for his company. Should he be put on rest, he'd also need a release to return to work.

yes. when he sees dr., ask for a Work Release with dates off work including the day he didn't go back.

Say what? He needs to talk to his HR department. You just don't walk out.
