You should really take him to see an ear, nose, and throat doctor. Sometimes the septum has polyps or deviations that constrict the free breathing through the nose so the mouth opens to give the person air. Sometimes the uvula in their throat is too large and sometimes the adenoid tissue is blocking his breathing. There are so many determining factors in place. You would be better off to get a professional to look at him . Before you end up in separate rooms, fix it.

Has he put on weight? My husband snores worse when he is heavy.

But honestly, you really can't stop him unless you put him on a diet so get yourself some earplugs or do what I do and learn to tune him out. Remember that sound means you have a healthy man who loves you sleeping right next to you... I know a lot of older women who miss that.

cram a sock in his mouth.....you are supposed to breath through your nose when you are asleep the snoring comes from breathing through the mouth when you sleep... snoring can be a sign of a serious problem...not always apnea..but you cant always tell if a person stops breathing or not.....I have a friend that had to get a breathing machine for when she sleeps it forces you to breath through your nose and cuts down on the snoring...

He may need a Sleep Disorder Test. I know you will need some help if he doesn't stop it. Talk him in to seeing a Physician and try the new spray they have out for snoring and see if it works. I really think he needs to see a Doc. I know you will if he keeps it up!

He should see a sleep doctor. is he over weight? does he sleep on his back or side? Snoring through his throat could mean he has a pallet problem or that some flap of the wind pipe is not closing when it should be. have him be seen by a doctor it could be serious.

You make me laugh you really do!!

I kick Andrew when he snores, once I kicked him out of the bed and he landed with a big THUD on the floor!! :) Scared the hell out of him! LOL
I think you should take hubby to the doctor. There is a lot of medications out there that can help. He may just need something to numb his throat. \Goodluck

if he is obese, the mid waist fat might be the culprit. Or even the fat accumulated at the throat might also cause snoring. First he must reduce his overall body fat.

If he is already thin, then the posture while sleeping is also important. Generally people who fold their neck tend to snore.
