The metal in your arm, is probably titanium. Ironically, I have a titanium plate and 3 screws put in my left ulna too.

There should be no effect on you at all. I've had mine for over 4 years and have had no problems with it (minus being able to feel where the plate is, but I have skinny arms so that's no big deal). Occassionally some people have a mild reaction to the metal and have the plate removed about a year after the first surgery.

My husband has lots of stainless hardware in his foot from having it crushed in an accident. This was nearly 30 years ago, and he's never had a problem.

Stainless steel? as in screws or something?
I've had mine in left humerus for 3 years, they only take them out if they start to cause a problem.
