From time to time when I put my hand downwards while walking or standing, I still have that pain in my hand.

Just wonder what does it mean when my hand aches with my hand downwards.

Can someone just give me an explanation for it.

Thanks for any feedback

Mum is taking me to the nurse for a Blood Test.

I'm scared & don't want to go. Will the needle sting me ?

Are the nurses nice? Will she mind if i'm scared & start to cry ?

for a while i have been sleeping flat on the bed without a pillow (i never used to sleep with one). and for that i have credited it to my back and neck pain i have been suffering minorly for a while. on the advice of a friend, i started using a pillow for the first time in ages and when i did, the next morning i was in much more pain than before. is this a good (no pain, no gain) sign that my body is adapting to a much more healthier posture? or is it getting worst? im not physiotherapist here anyway.

I am told in through yahoo answers that the post op period for putting in rod into a fracture of fibula and tibia through surgery is a few hours. Add to it a couple of hours of surgery.

Then do you think the patient will need catheterisation for urination, as I had been told on yahoo answers earlier.

I mean a person normally withholds urine for that long a time?

Is it a must in case of a spinal (aneathesia)?

I have been dealing with acute plantar fasciitus for 3-4 months now and the ortho doctor is wanting to put me in a cast. However I need one for walking due to I am the sole provider for my family for my husband is recovering from major back surgery. I can not afford to take off work but this pain is getting unbearable. So would a walking cast offer as much relief as a normal cast?

when you don't have access to either one? & have arthritis in your spine and it's been hit double with a dose of Fibromyalgia. Oooooooooooohhhhhh! I hurt! .
I just took a hot shower, heated up a wet hand-towel in plastic bags in the microwave, wrapped that in a dry bathtowel---& think I should just go to bed early. I have a HUGE day tomorrow.
Any ideas other than these? My friend is bringing me over Aleve pretty soon---& I'm taking TWO of them. tonight...and one tomorrow afternoon. I had 400mg of Ibuprofin earlier...with my dinner about 7 hours ago...but it hasn't kicked it at all! The Aleve always helps---I'm just hoping it will tonight too...this is TOO MUCH!
ooooooooooo I want my mommy!

I recently sprained my ankle and was prescribed vicodin for the pain at night (My entire leg cramps from the hip down and I get a constant numbing pain from the discomfort). The trauma also brought back anxiety attacks and I have xanax for that. I hate taking vicadin because it makes me feel loopy in the morning. WIll xanax work to get me to sleep and forget the pain? Will Ambien do the same trick. Or should I just go with the vicadin?

People have told me if you were to get stabbed in the throat, (adam's apple) and if you grabbed the wound as to say putting your hand on top of the hole to cover the wound you would live? Now i can't see how this could happen, is it possible?

I have hadto have two blood tests in the last 3 months. At the hospital they tried both arms and ended up taking blood from my hand with a different sort of needle. This was not easy either. One nurse had to help by actually squeesing my arm to help get some blood into the tube. I ended up with both arms and my hand badly bruised. The latest attemp to get a blood test done ended up in the doctor getting no blood! Yet each time she withdrew the needle, blood spurted out. Once again i have both arms blue. I have to come back in another week and she will try again! I am 50, in fairly good health and through the years i have never had a problem in giving blood. The only difference is that i have been taking Mirtrazapine on and off for about 2 years. Other than this i dont take anything. Has anyone else had this happen. I am getting worried and am not looking forward to my next appointment where they will attempt to get some blood, nor the large bruises that it leaves.

six months ago I had a Sigmoidoscopy procedure, and also had some internal piles (banded). Although the outcome of that procedure was OK. ie. nothing untowards was found. since this procedure, every morning I wake up with back ache and a 'stitch' like pain at the bottom of my stomach at the right-hand side. This pain only eases when I have had a bowel movemement. Before these procedures I did not get this pain.
Could I have picked up some kind of infection from these procedures ?

Who has been sitting at their desk all day and you neck is killing you and you would absolutely love a massage right now? Would you feel comfortable if a female massage therapist were to come into your office and give you a massage while you work? Would your boss be ok with a periodic visit from a massage therapist? Would you pay for a massage and how much would you be willing to pay?

i recently got a "suboxone" pill from a friend in order to detox from a heroin addiction. he said that he was broke so the doctor gave him a cheaper option than the normal orange, hexagonal 8 mg tablet. the pill is shaped like a rectangular box-like thing that is sweet to the taste and purple in color.
did i get ripped off, or has anyone heard of this type of suboxone?
