i was just diagnosed with plantar faciitis (fallen arches) and have lots of inflammation in the bottom of my feet. i can't afford the orthodics right now and have to take a lot of ibuprofren just to work every day. they have offered me the steroid ijections directly into the plantar facia in the bottom of my foot. it sounds terrible to me...but if they actually work for a while it might be worth it.

My husband almost lost his foot in an auto accident years ago and suffers from extreme pain due to his injuries. I wondered if I could learn an acupressure technique that would help relieve some of the pain he feels. His ankle was totally reconstructed allowing him to keep his foot and walk but suffer a great deal of pain. As he gets older, it only seems to get worse.

I started getting migraines 2 years ago, right after my son was born. I've had 1 or 2 during the last two winters but 90% of them occur during the warmer weather. I've found that I only get them within 30 minutes to an hour after I'm active in the heat (usually after a softball game or gardening). I've researched the possible causes of migraines and none of them match.
Does anyone else ONLY get migraines after being physically active in the heat?

I have been having these really strange lower back pains with abdominal pains that come on very suddenly and leave very rapidly. They last about 5 mins, up to 10 mins (which was agonizing). I have no idea why I am getting these, I get them at least once a day. If anyone has any input, please by all means share with me. Thanks.

I constantly get migraines! I mean, every other day... & they make me feel so sick. Including, nausea, fatigue, etc. Can anyone give me any suggestions of what helps for their migraines - even if it's not medication!

Here's what I have tried: Laying in a dark room (my mom's remedy), Imitrex, Relpax, Midrin (all rx), regular Advil, cutting out caffeine (then I got migraines more often & 10x worse), cutting out alcohol (has helped slightly) - what else would you suggest? I can't take these! :'(

My wife and I are planning a vacation and one of her fantasy is to make love in water. We have tired it once and it didn’t really work out due to dryness issues. I heard Epson slat softens the water; is it safe to make love with Epson salt added to the water?

My son (5) cut the inside of his left ankle last evening on a peice of glass he stated that when he cut it he couldn't look down at it, or at anything for that matter because his head and neck hurt, and didn't know he cut it until he got inside and sat down right before the 4 hour trip to the ER and 8 stitches. Any ideas on why his head and neck would instantly hurt when he got injured?

I'm 22 years old and for the last week, every muscle in my body has been aching. I feel like an old man. I haven't been working out so the muscle aches are not from that. The most pronounced aches are in my neck, mid-back (shoulder blades), calves and hands. What on earth could be causing this?
I read up on muscle aches and it said that fibromyalgia can be the cause, and since I have trouble sleeping as well as depression/anxiety, I am slightly worried that this may be the case.. has anyone else had experience with this kind of thing? It's not terribly severe but especially in my back, it is definitely noticable and I think if it lingers for another day or two I'm going to need to see a Dr. about it because this has never happened to me before..some help, please?

I have recently started seeing someone who has had a stammer all his life that he can remember. He has no idea why it happens or how it started. He is 30 now, I first met him when he was 17 and it has improved massively since that time, although his stammering comes back and gets much worse after a few drinks.

It doesn't bother me at all, and its not that I want to "cure" him or anything like that, I am just intrigued because its something I have never really experienced, and I wondered if anyone on here with any personal experience could shed any light on what causes it and what makes it worse, what helps, etc.
