I have been having these really strange lower back pains with abdominal pains that come on very suddenly and leave very rapidly. They last about 5 mins, up to 10 mins (which was agonizing). I have no idea why I am getting these, I get them at least once a day. If anyone has any input, please by all means share with me. Thanks.

This could be muscle spasms Or possibly an ulcer. The reason I say this is because of the location and the fact that it leaves And returns. when you feel the pressure apply an ice pack To your back.

avoid fried foods, fatty foods, spicy foods, caffeine and junk food. Eat yogurt every day and eat small meals every three hours.

see your medical doctor as soon as possible.

Were they sharp stabbing pains? If they were get checked straight away, i dont want to scare you hun but as a general rule all lower abdo pains should be investigated to rule out an eptopic pregnancy. Sometimes you just get pain from the stretching of the uterus. Please get yourself and bub checked and dont let anyone tell you its too early for an ultarsound because is isnt, I had one at 5 weeks for the same reason. As for foods try and stick with meats for iron and vegetables, get a good intake of calcium and you will have craving that you will have to feed just remember to munch in moderation and you and bub will be just fine.

Okay, to me it sounds like a bad case of gas, but if you want to be sure, get a doctors opinion. It may be kidney related.
