They can be a useful resource and very nice if they have the right attitude and experience. I have had doctors that are very caring, and they know what they are doing so they have been some of the biggest resources to me in getting through my Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS). I have never really looked forward to going to them, but they have been able to help me which has made it worth it. I have several doctors but they all have experience in the areas that they are helping me with, they are caring, considerate, and very kind.

Some doctors are wonderful and usefull and others are not. They are just people. But when you are sick you should definately see one because although natural remedies are great, sometimes western medicine is neccesary to save lives. Naturopathy is geared more toward prevention and western medicine is geared more toward cures. It is also a good idea to see a doctor on a regular basis so that you have one you can trust and respect. If you feel like the doctor you see isn't listening to you or respecting you find a new one. Remember they are not gods and if you don't like the way they treat you there are options!

Doctors can be useful and wonderful if they have the right experience to help treat whatever problem you have.
For example, in my case I have a number of female problems, one of which requires me to have surgery every so many years to keep it in check. Because I have other issues that can make this one problem a huge challenge my dr is able to work with me to try and find the right combination of treatments to try to keep everything in check.
A dr can also be useful and wonderful if they are good listeners which is one of the things I love about the dr that treats my female problems (my gynecologist). They are also useful and wonderful if they are willing to take the time to let you ask whatever questions you may have on your mind.
Some drs are open to using alternative measures to treat problems if it doesn't pose too many risks to the person's overall health situation.

well i really dont like doctors, not because i am afraid or anything like that but i only seek expert medical advice only when absolutely necessary.
they are too expensive and their advice / diagnosis is often incoherent with other sources / other doctors etc and this makes me wonder whether to trust them.
i often feel like a guineepig and them trying out new drugs on me.
i also hate the way they give medicine out just because they have a commision on that particular brand.
they are sometimes too rude especially with the elderly and too cold.
