I was running last Friday. An I started to feel a throbbing pain on my left heel. So it kept throbbing; took some advil. Pain went away. But for this week any big impact on foot makes that spot hurt. If I run, or jump from somewhere. Any idea what I could of injured? Also any remedy?

Here's a good page I wrote on heel pain and massage. I think by what you have described, it would be applicable to your situation.

It could be plantar's fasciitis. It's an inflammation, usually caused by running/walking, of a tendon in the foot. It's quite common in people who exercise regularly.
First thing is to completely rest it for about a week---no running. Take an anti-inflammatory, like Advil, for the pain. It's important to keep the internal inflammation down, even if you aren't running on it.
In your week of resting it, go buy a new pair of running shoes with really good heel cushion.

My husband had foot pain of unexplained origin and when he went to Trade Home shoe store they were able to fit him with a special insert for his shoe that took the pain away. As we age (darn!) the arch of the foot begins to drop just a bit. This supports it again and you will be off and running again! Good luck!
