I have had severe migraines since childhood and still can't get rid of them. Sometimes washing your hair will help because of the hot water. Sleeping it off obvioussly in a dark room without noise. Massaging the temporal area and trigger points may help also. Personally. over the counte excedrin was the best (if caught early enough), prescription varies person to person. immitrex is my personal fav. works a lot even at my worst. I also take preventatives like topomax. Some take Beta Blockers. I know you don't want drugs but if someone else is there they can try massage, heat pack to forehead, wash your hair. That really does work. I suuffer from headaches daily. I feel your pain. I hope this helps.

OK listen and I promise this will help. I read a book on natural remedies and they had studies from big medical colleges in England to back up their claims. I do not have the book here or I would tell you to go buy it if I remembered the title. A friend of mine who suffered from migraines did this and it worked. There is an herb called Fever few.....you get a real good brand so it is absorbable, go to a good store. You start with a real high dose for about 3 weeks, everyday. After 3 weeks you take a little bit smaller dose for another 3 weeks, and a smaller dose for another t 3 weeks. Soon your down to the recommended dosage that you should take everyday. At first you get fewer headaches, and eventually they go away all together or one here and there. If you reply to this and keep me as a contact I,ll try and get the book and print up that section so you can view the studies and case histories yourself. Go to web sites about natural cures and you may find it there......My doctor said he had heard about it also.

I drink a cup of really strong caffeinated coffee...then go into a very cold, dark, silent bedroom and lay down. The caffeine helps the migraine!
