I am planning on getting a lip piercing in the next two days, and I was wondering when I get older and decide not to want it anymore, if I take it off will the hole heal and look normal again, like an ear heals after no earring for a while?

Ive been recently trying to get back into shape. I used to be able to run for miles on end, but stopped running for over a year. Now that Im trying to pick it back up, I notice that near the end of my run my left foot will begin to feel like its going asleep. By the end of the run its much more noticable and runs up to my calf as well. It lingers for about 30 minutes after Im finished and then just goes away. Is this something to be worried about?

I broke my foot and will be on crutches awhile. I have always been a power walker and also do some running. I just want to maintain some kind of aerobic fitness. I can't ride a bicycle right now with a broken foot. I've noticed how much more difficult it is walking on crutches than regular walking. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Im allergic to codien and vicoden. so im trying to research pain medication. When I try and ask my docter these things they end up giving me the weakest stuff. (I.E. Tylonal for a broken bone!). And now i have ultracet for my mono when my throat is swollen shut. Anyone know of any strong pain medications that does not have codien in it?

hi,

I'm wondering why sometimes I'm having trouble breathing when I sleep at night. I'll wake up with a "hard" chest (i can feel my chest was hard) and there's kinda "nervous" feeling (I'm thinking like I'm having an heart attack) then I can feel that I'm having a shortness of breath.

But when I stand up, had a mug of hot milk and do something that will make me busy (like composing this question for example), my chest will return to it's normal, relaxed mode. As in I'll start to feel very very very as in very fine.

Have you experienced this before? What could be the source and how can it be prevented?

But when I take a nap, I don't experience this. I'm only experiencing it during night at late time (1 - 3am).

Now I'm starting to have a fear to going to sleep for I might experience this not so pleasant feeling again...

Thanks a lot.

I went to sleep and rolled onto my right side and the pain on my hip was unbearable. I had to roll to the other side. It's sore to the touch and feels like the ball joint is out of whack. Walking after sitting it is sore and stiff. I did not injury it. Just woke up with it.

I have a broken bone in my lower leg..I am 60 yr old, I have no insurance and the surgeon I see charges 144.00 per visit of which I must pay on the spot..All they are doing for me is keeping a hinged knee brace on me and keeping me non wieght-bearing. I have no swelling, not much pain, and from what I have read and heard, the bone must heal itself..so I am thinking of not keeping anymore doctor visits, unless I have a complication..Stupid, it sounds, but with no income for 8 weeks to 12 weeks, I have no choice..I am a widow with no outside help. what do you think? should I try this?

Is it common for a shin splint pain to be on the inside of the leg a few inches above the ankle. I have what feels to be a knot next to my shin. It is extremely painful to touch and is now causing problems with walking and hurting into the knee.

I am a 52 yr old female with "managed" high blood pressure.
I do administrative work, lots of computer stuff. Not enough exercise, but not overweight at all.
Is it time to call the G.P. for an appt?
What does this symptom indicate?

Since splitting with my husband some 14 months ago (over it too by the way) I just can't seem to get into a good sleeping pattern. I have worries, concerns, had some health issues and I work far too many hours until late at night, this is an essential. Anyone got any good ideas to help me get a good nights sleep please. Everything seems a mountain when you are tired.

Last year I had heart problems and not long afterwards I started gaining weight, it seems to be all fluid, I've gone up three clothing sizes (soon it will be four) and I just keep gaining weight. I've been tested for metabolism, thyroid and cortisol levels and they're all fine. My doctor's run out of ideas and I'm desperate, I can't keep gaining weight with no end in sight. I'm on fluid pills but they only get rid of a small amount of the fluid. I'm going to see every doctor I can until I find an answer, but I thought maybe someone here might have had a similar problem or know of something that could help? I'm really desperate! I can't exercise because I've got Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, and I had a heart test last year that said my heart was now ok. I just don't know what's causing all this rapid weight gain and how to get rid of it. My whole body hurts because of it.
