I'm 20 years old and sometimes I'll have hip pain. sometimes after sitting cross legged, or just having one leg in the cross legged position, i'll experience pain in the leg that was in the cross legged position. this occurs when i try to rotate my leg and bring it to what i think is the default position (legs together, feet facing forward). it hurts right where the leg meets the hip (i'm assuming the socket?). this only lasts for a little while and goes away very rapidly (within minutes). it doesn't really feel like pain, but discomfort.
also sometimes while i'm walking, i'll feel a slight discomfort in the same area. this will go away after a few minutes as well.

Some details that may be useful:

I am 16 years old and recently had a growth spurt.
I play soccer and run regularly.
I've had this kind of pain for months now but it has gotten worse lately.
This pain occurs on both knees.
There is no pain when I actually squat, but once I get up from that position, the pain is strange.
The pain is mostly under my kneecaps and in that surrounding area. I don't know the medical names, sorry.

I have bought the corner protectors and they don't stay on. So, when my 2 yr old fell and hit below his eye on my end table I was freaking out. Now he has this HUGE scrape under his eye where the corner tore the first layer of skin off and now it is starting to bruise. I called my pediatrician and she said that as long as he's alert and there's no indentation or anything there is no need to go to the hospital. It only bled a little bit and now it is starting to bruise. Any suggestions?

My 12 year old step son is having his appendix removed later today. We were due to have him for the Easter holidays, his mother says that he can still be picked up on Thursday (she is going away for Easter with her new boyfriend).
Should we still have him for the holidays, the reasons I am concerned, is that we live a 3 1/2 hour journey from his home, and we have 2 quite boisterous, children (4 and 7 years), I am worried that the journey will be uncomfortable for him. How long will his recovery take?

I was at Staples with my aunt waiting for her to finish doing all her copies and as I was standing I all of a sudden got really dizzy. I became VERY fatigue. It was to the point where i couldn't stand up anymore and the most important thing in the world was to go to sleep. I tried fighting it, but then collasped to the ground. I couldn't see properly, just a bunch of swirls and as the minutes passed by it got worse. Also, my hearing was going away and as I was trying to tell my brother that something was wrong I couldn't hear him, yet alone myself, speaking. It was a like loud ringing noise was taking over. I had him walk me to the car where I slept for 10 minutes and afterwards I felt perfectly normal. This exact same thing has happened when I was 11, then 14, 16, and I am now 17. Is it bad that this is already going on? I think I remember someone telling me it could be low blood pressure or sugar. And It is low or high that leads to Diabetes?
Thanks.

Sometimes all of a sudden I feel weak and have to get something sweet like a fruit cup or a glass of chocolate milk and sit down for about 20 minutes for the feeling to subside. I feel shaky and weak. After I get the sugar in my syatem I'm back to normal. Could this be something serious or is it normal? Could it be diabetes?

This has happened on my way home from class before and I've had to pull over to a grocery store and get a banana and chocolate milk because otherwise I didn't feel like I could make it home safely.

So I work at Apple Computer Inc. and my job is troubleshooting iPod's and the iTunes Software, this is a very fun job but yet requires being on a computer for 8-10 hours a day. I have noticed that towards the end of the day when i'm getting ready for bed, my left wrist/hand becomes very irritated and sore. It's almost like a jolt of pain going up through my wrist and into my hand? I don't have insurance, but I have mentioned this pain to my direct manager, but she doesn't seem to be taking any action in helping me? Am I showing signs of Carpal Tunnel? If so, who should I talk to about seeing a doctor?

first of all don't tell me to "see a doctor" because i already have and the only thing he can do is tell me to take some tests and i can't afford anymore. with that being said, i get these really bad stabbing pains in my chest (to the left) and they are only every once in a while. i am 18 years old and my heart is perfect and i have done a bunch of tests so it's not that. but, i do have gas all the time (i burp a lot all of the time) and im almost convinced that it is a gas problem. right now as i am writing though, i am experiencing my worst "attack" of this and it hurts like hell. usually its just a few quick stabs because i lean to the left of down but this time it hurst when i take a deep breath and just in general. it hurst REALLY BAD when i take a deep breath. could it be something other than gas? my ribs on the left are deformed and cave in a little, could they be pinching together or something like that? has anyone ever experienced this, something similar or stabbing pains?
