Some details that may be useful:

I am 16 years old and recently had a growth spurt.
I play soccer and run regularly.
I've had this kind of pain for months now but it has gotten worse lately.
This pain occurs on both knees.
There is no pain when I actually squat, but once I get up from that position, the pain is strange.
The pain is mostly under my kneecaps and in that surrounding area. I don't know the medical names, sorry.

The trouble is in the tentants holding the patella [cap] in place. Get pro;fession assistance -phyio as you need a series of execises to strengthen. Ignore and the problem will allways be there, you risk making it a chronic situation . Make a journal of strength/weakness nd whatnots that consern you as through the years you will be amazed at how same pains recure. You are young and smart enough to prepare for the next 60 yrs. I ignored the damage done by repetative knee presses while working a factory and now can't walk without cane and no fanancial assistance.
