No. You can get into BIG trouble and the pharmacy is on the lookout for such things. I believe it is a felony charge with hard jail time.
As an example of just how closely the pharmacy checks such things, My allergist gave me a prescription with meds I've been getting for years now and have gotten from the same pharmacy several times. When I called to see what the holdup was, the pharmacist said that the doctor had written "2006" on the script, not "2007." It was only January 8th! The pharmacist actually asked me if the script was a year old because they couldn't fill it then and I'd have to get a new one!
Now, you could get lucky and you may be able to talk your way out of being arrested, but you won't get the medication you scribble in and they'll be suspicious any time you bring another in.

The pharmacy would definitely catch on and you could be put in jail for fraud and changing a prescription. It is a major felony offense. I work for a pharmacy and they have ways of knowing if a scirpt has been changed. they will also call the doctor if they feel any kind of suspicions. If you did change it and they found out, the doctor and the pharmacy can press charges and have you arrested. My advice......DON'T CHANGE IT!!!

It's illegal and yes the pharmacy "ALWAYS" call the doc's office if the script is for a controlled substance. You can go to jail for trying to obtain a controlled substance and deceptive practices. It's not worth ruining your life over. Drink a beer instead. At least that's not against the law if you are of legal age.

What you are proposing is illegal and crimminal. Yes, the pharmacy would catch on. It's called fraud, or 'diversion' if you are trying to prescribe yourself narcotics. You can go to jail for a while. Why not talk to your doc about changing the perscription if you don't want the medication.
Depending on your state it could be anything from a few months to a decade of jail time.

That is illegal, and you can go to jail for it. If a doctor makes a mistake when writing a prescription, and catches it, they just rewrite it on a new script, and destroy the wrong one.
People try and forge prescriptions all the time, and after awhile, you can easily tell the real from the fake.

i use to work in a pharmacy and they can usually recognize the doctors writing from the doctors in that area. esp if it is a narcotic they will call the doctors office to see if it is legit is also illegal but some have gotten away with it. if u go to a pharmacy that has never gotten a prescription from that doctor that will definatley call the doctors office

You're looking at felony crimes that could get you quite a long time. If there's any other writing on a prescription (especially if it's a narcotic) you're going to jail. Most pharmacies call the doctor to verify the prescription is legit anyway.
