There is an old fashioned remedy for a sore throat ....... gargle with warm salt water (cup of water and two pinches of salt) several times a day.

There are OTC formulas that can be sprayed on the back of the throat that also help.

But if you are a smoker, go see a doctor. If you have allergies, then this could be caused by post-nasal drip and either see a good allergist or take an OTC.

try a chiropractor. now i know it sounds funny but if you thinks about it the nerves that heal and control your throat come from your neck and if you have a problem in your spine around those nerves that innervate the end organ or tissue such as your throat it can cause problems there. im would just say that it worth a try and i know that it works for me and many other people/patients. i am a student at palmer chiropractic and have seen a lot of people with sinus and throat problems and have seen them find relief with chiropractic treatment.

It's highly unlikely you've tried "everything."

First, why is your throat "killing" you? Have you seen your doctor? Do you have strep throat?

Go to the doctor and make sure it's not strep. Strep can turn into some pretty dangerous nasty stuff.
