You get a special pump at the pharmacy that is not expensive, you fill it with warm water, you put a dish or something under the stuffed ear and squeeze the warm water very slowly and very gently into the ear. The water will dribble out onto the dish. Keep doing this regularly until the plug of wax softens and eventually is washed out.

Go back to the doctor because he can drain your ear by flushing it out with a small tube. It only takes about 10 minutes in the doctors office. The doctor may advise you to put ear drops in first before having it irrigate meaning drained. The drops will soften the wax.

there is a procedure known as "candleling" where you use a special beeswax candle funnel
you stick one end of the candle funnel into your ear and light the other end on fire. as the candle burns down approx 4 inches it sucks the wax right out of the ear drum into the portion of the candle that remains.
you pay around 35.00 to have this done in a salon but these candles can be bought for around 5.00/pair in a health supply store and easily done at home.
it really does work :o)

What did the doctor give her?
When I was younger, my doctor flushed my ear out with a springe and water because my ear was badly packed with wax.
Ask your doctor to do that.
Or get her one of those over-the-counter ear wax removal kits.

A waterpik works on low setting. You dont put the pick straight in but angle to the side. The gentle warm water, along with the motion, works well.

do you like to clean things out??? what I do with my husband because he over produces ear wax I clean his ears out every week with a sterilized bobby pin and a few cotton balls and wet and dry q-tips. then I dig all that stuff out of there. but I would also try what everyone ells is talking about . . . the ear wax kit that helps get rid of that stuff or just go to the doc like my hubby did before he met me! lol

Lean over the sink and run warm water over and into the ear for a few seconds, let set, then turn neck to allow drainage.
