General Health Care - January 2007

Okay, I know someone that was crazy enough to do Cocaine and i know it isnt good for you. Well, She had also the following night drank a few beers and was doing that on top of it and i mean i was told she done 5 - 6 big lines but i dont know crap about it so thats why imn asking for serious help. She was also i was told doing something called Loritab 10's..I only know about those cause i was prescribed them for a broken ankle. But would 2-3 days no sleep and pills, cocaine, and about 5 beers make someone have a seizure? What happined was she stood up aginst a wall straight up and staired into space for about 1 min then started shaking and fell to the ground, I was told her mouth shut automaticly so she bite her tongue and jaw. she told me she would go to the doctor the next day when i seen her but she hasnt yet, Do you think all those nasty drugs would harm someone to have a seizure? Please only serious answers and also should she go to the hospital? She is acting perfectly fine now

I have pain from the base of the skull, to the middle of my back. Its worse in my neck, and at the base of the skull, upper neck i guess, and if it doesnt hurt all the time, i get shooting pain, or it feels like somethings being tickled inside, like nerves or somethin. Its been goin on for about 2 weeks, and i havent been able to see the doctor yet. Anyone had this problem before?

I've been a smoker for almost a year now. I smoke Newports, atleast 3 to 5 cigarettes a day...Any advice or steps to a sucessful and proud smoking quitter? I'll vote for the most helpful answer. Thanks.

I had my thyroid removed last April 2006. It hasn't been followed to closely. My doctor increased my dose of Thyroid but felt it would need to go up more. I have a blood test tomorrow again. I'm having a lot different symptoms right now but no health insurance so I haven't been to the doctor. I'm more tired than I think I should be, It feels like something pushing up into my chest but that happens randomly and it makes me cough sometimes when it does happen, it comes with a little bit of pressure in my chest, I have pain in my right side that hurts all the way through to my back(randomly), my skin is dry, constipation, circles under my eyes. That's just to name a few. Has anyone had issues like these after having thyroid surgery. I realize it might not be related to that but I have this feeling it is. Naturally I wish I had health insurance and could see a good doctor. Hopefully a good job will come and give me my insurance back. Thanks for sharing your experiences!

After you quit, did you ever get to the point where you went a whole day or even a few days or a week without thinking about smoking? How long did you smoke and how long after you quit did it take you to get to a level where it was not on your mind?

I joined a gym and had to stay away for a couple days because I worked myself hard the first couple days there. I am going back tomorrow but I need other ideas to do other than smoke (or eat). I really am trying hard not to start again.

My mom is in her 60s and a few weeks ago my mom cut herself on her forearm and it would not stop bleeding, any cut just keeps on going even if she puts pressure on it. I told her that her blood must be too thin to clot up, but she is one of those that you can't tell her anything and brushed it off as nothing serious.
Another thing is that she bruises so easily! She doesn't even know how she gets them and they are huge purplish-black things about the size of half-dollars.
She takes Motrin for the pain of her knee after she had knee replacement last year, which still hurts her and swells, which I feel isn't normal.
My mom has hypothyroid, but no high blood pressure or diabetes. So since she thinks nothing major is wrong I was wondering if anyone else may know what is going on so I can say "It may be THIS...talk to your doctor about it."

Three times throughout the day today - once in the morning, then again in the afternoon, and again at night - I experienced the feeling of small bubbles(like gas) forming at the top of my stomach, right below my heart, and then my heart starting beating rapidly for almost 30 seconds each time. Could it be indigestion? Or anxiety? Or something more serious?

Last night, I developed this strange chest pain. It doesn't feel like pressure or squeezing. I'm not feeling any numbness or pain in anypart of my arms or legs.
It's more of a burning sensation in my breastbone area. My back also hurts in between my shoulder blades.
I don't know if it's heartburn at all. I took antacids, and it didn't really help.
When i stretch my arms straight up, thats when it begins to hurt.
I'm not short of breath or anything.
It's just uncomfortable and it makes sleeping hard for me.
Any ideas?

For the past week and half I have been staying up way past my usual bed time. I get caught up doing crochet or reading that time passes and even though I feel tired i cant go to sleep. My husband's sarting to think that is that I just dont want to lay next to him in bed, but I really just dont feel ready to lay down and close my eyes. My minds racing and I just want to finish the book Im reading or finish another row in my crochet blanket. Mind you Im not that old Im only 27. I* can go to bed around 2:30 am and still wake up at 6 am like nothing, but when 12:30 pm comes around Im ready for a nap. What is this?? I dont want my husband creating his own ideas as to why I cant sleep when I should. I love him very much and besides we're newly weds!!! Of course I want to lay next to him in bed, I just dont want to wake him with my constant "toss and Turning". Help????

I have had constant chest discomfort for 2 weeks now. I had several tests done, and all seems okay. The constant pian moved to my back for a few days, and now it's gone, except for what happens every couple of hours or so. I get this very sharp pain in m chest. It is so sharp that it hurts to breath. It lasts about 10-30 minutes, and then goes away. What's going on?

I had met with an accident on 27.11.2006 and all my ribs on right side of chest formed multiple fractures. No displacement occured. I was hospitalised for 1 week and advised bed rest for 6 weeks. After 6 weeks,I started attending office by travelling in City Buses. My internal pains are still there. I am afraid whether I am doing right or wrong?. My journey is causing daily jerks in chest. Can I continue attending office or is it dangerous ? If you advise me I will stop attending office also. Healing should not be disturbed. Please explain me hoe the healing get disturbed in such cases and what is the impact?

About six months ago I fell down the steps and landed on my tail bone. After about three months later I went to the doctor and she said I should buy a gell cushion. It still hurts. Do you think I did perminate damage? Maybe I should get my tailbone removed. What do you think?

My face is naturally oily most of the time and i find that sunscreen wont stay on! It comes off (its like the oil or sweat lifts it or something) and i get burnt all the time. I live in outback australia and i really need to use one. Iv spent way too much money trying all the diff brands available at chemists and supermarkets and want a cheap solution.

These pains are more of an ache then a sharp pain...

Lately I have been experiencing knee pain on the inner and outer sides of the knee cap. mainly with walking or running and sometimes with a crunching sensation, Also i have had elbow soreness and i have to jolt my elbow and crack it to straighten it on occasion. Also have some wrist and ankle soreness. i have played football for many years. i'm not sure if all these are related to each other.... PLEASE HELP!

ok so whenever i wake up my should always hurts. and like right now at night it hurts its not unbearable just whenever i lift it there is some pain. i dont know what i could have done but its been going on like this a little while, and no i do not want to go to the doctor because it really is to terrible

I was put on vicodin for my pain well they ended up giving me hydrocodone that wasn't strong enough for my kidney stones and PID so i was written loratab the pharmacy didn't give me loratab they gave me hydrocodone/apap 7.5/500 they didn't ask to see my id either since i thought it was a controlled substance right in the left hand corner it has the rx's numcers but no c for controlled substance i'm just asking cause this medicine is doing nothing for me i'm hurting so bad! What is this new medicine?
