I had the symptons and pain of an ear ache. I was treated last month and I was given drops by a doctor. The drops were used twice a day but the ear ache did not go away. I went back to the dr. and he said there is no inflamation in the ear or swelling..never did swell but it sure hurtrs! He told me that Burt Reynolds had the same thing because he chewed gum so much..i don't chew gum but i do grind my teeth in my sleep as the dentist told me so. also I found myself clenching my jaw a lot..bad habit..any suggestions if you have heard of this problem..??? thanks if you can help me as the next step i guess is to go to a dentist and have something put in my mouth to avoid grinding my teeth...well thanks anyway.

I have a thoracic compression fracture (t9-10) and a disk herniation (t7-8). I have been through physical theory - it made pain worse and caused swelling; 3 epidural injections - no relief; and now I'm getting facet injections near herniated disk. The first of those injections did nothing but cause more pain. Tomorrow I get my second one. I am frustrated, in chronic pain, and nothing is helping. Does anyone have any experience or knowledge that they could please share? The pain is getting worse and has already effected my bladder and it hurts to laugh now. Any advice please? I don't know what to do.

My boyfriend broke his leg 10 weeks ago - his tibia, no surgery etc, because it wasn't misalligned, no complications. He got out of his plaster after 8 weeks, without an x ray and put into an aircast, which he can take off. Whenever he walks anywhere without it, or tries to drive - even a short distance, the swelling goes up and he has to ice it because it's sore. Is this normal when starting to use a bone which has been damaged? He was told to walk on it as much as possible with the casts - he was given a walking cast straight away, and has been off crutches for weeks, drs said walking will help it heal. Could he have re-injured it again for it to be swelling or does his leg just need to get used to being active? Got a consultant appt in 2 weeks, when he should be getting his cast off completely...seems to me like he shouldn't be in this much pain anymore.

I had a spinal fusion done 14 days ago today the operation took a total of five hours with an additional two and half hours of recovery, I would like to ask has anyone had this done and what was your recovery time, each day I`m getting stronger. I did lose the use of my leg or it was`nt as it was prior to my operation although it is coming back now and I can walk fairly well considering a week ago I could`nt move it.

It started a couple months ago, just progressively got worse. I had to go to the hospital and have an epideral in my neck. I have 2 pinched nerves there, could this be causing this tinkeling I am having in my fingers and hands. It feels likes its asleep. Any input would help.. I live away from home for school, and since I've been here. I had these migraines at 3am in the morning for the past 9 days At this point sleeping it off is no longer an options, lately I've been sitting in my house in the dark with no sound just to dull the pain a bit. For two days my foot has been throbbing in pain. On the bottom, front heal i guess you could call it. The pain goes across the bottom of my foot. It feels kinda hard and looks slightly swollen. I'm wondering if its infected, so does anyone know anyways to make something like this feel better. Like soaking it in water? Thank you

For the past two weeks, I have had what feels like a lump of sorts when I swallow. It comes and goes but is most prominent at night. It scares me a little that maybe my throat is closing up. But, since it comes and goes, I'm not sure what it could be or what to do about it.
