I am 28 and I have been smoking almost 10 years. I am trying to quit, but it is so hard. I tried using various stop smoking aids, gum, patches, lozenges, etc, but those make me sick. I find that I am eating myself out of house and home to make up for the cigarettes, but I can't keep doing that. What suggestions do you all have? Please serious answers only, I am really wanting to quit! Thanks So Much!

My 4 year old daughter has had asthma problems the last few days and a sinus infection. I took her to the doctor on Monday and he prescribed Zithromax, for the infection, and Prednisone for the Asthma, as well as instructed me to give her one treament a day of Pulmicort on her nebulizer.

I did this Monday evening and all was fine...except the crazyness from the prednisone..she was bouncing off the walls...I kind of expected that....To make a long story short, she wet the bed Monday night, wet her pants Tuesday at school, and then again last night while sleeping....Mind you, she hasnt wet herself in a year...and now that she is on all this medication she has done it 3 times in 2 days. Is this a normal side effect??? Should I ask the Dr. about this, or is it just coincidence or a phase?

I have looked of the side effects and found nothing of the sort...Is this normal?? She bounces off the walls with the prednisone, and wets herself at night????

I went to the doctor a week and a half ago and she told me she thinks I pulled my abdominal muscles and muscles in my stomach and gave me medicine. I'm just wondering about when it will stop hurting.

An 18 wheeler hit our truck from behind, we weren't going very fast but it was still severe enough that my son and I hit our heads on the back window & broke it. I felt something hit the right side of my head & I was jolted to the front. When everything stopped, I realized that we had been hit & turned to check my 5 year old son (he just had a big bump). I looked back & saw the window broken & in that instant could not think of what broke it & hit us, but than realized that w/ the force of the accident my son & I must of hit our heads hard enough on the window that it broke. When the paramedics arrived they checked us and said we seemed fine. We decided not to go to the hospital b/c we felt fine (right now I do feel lightheaded & my back hurts) & am wondering if maybe we should go get checked out. It happened less than 2 days ago....should we go to the hospital to get x-rays of our heads or should we not. I'm worried about the long term effects. What should we do?

This morning I had to help with other people this man who was suffering a Epilepsy Fit.
I have done first aid before but my certificate ran out sometime ago.
This man was eating a Big Mac when the convulsions started.
All the usual happened and it was dealt with.
But after a minute his bottom lip was dark blue so tried to clear his airway but could not open his mouth.
The contents of his mouth started to come out.
How do I clear his mouth if I cannot open it?

A few times a month I will wake up in trembles, (shaking) and I am not scared out of my sleep nor was I having a nightmare, its just like its taking my muscles a few minutes to get in the hang of things or something, but its kind of freaky to wake up and be shaking all over, does anyone else do this or know what it is?

I have strep throat and the doc knew that I had a cough/mucus in in my throat and such. But he still just gave me the stuff to treat the strep, I'm guessing it's going to go away once the strep is gone? I find myself clearing my throat/blowing nose constantly. My parents gave me Dayquil, but it doesn't dry me up.

Any suggestions?

I recently have started grinding my teeth in my sleep, and it feels horrible every morning. I wake up with a headache, sore teeth, sore jaw, etc. I know there are a lot of sites with info on teeth grinding, but does anyone here that has TMJ have any ideas behind why we grind our teeth?

(using my girlfriend's account) Im not a girl as the picture reflects.

I'm 20 years old, never had a problem, no allergies, no known problems, healthy guy, skinny, never visited a hospital in my life. etc etc
I have this pain in my chest (located right in the middle of my chest) since yesterday night around 1:30 AM in the morning. Worries me because if I deep breath the pain is worse, Well not even a deep breath its likea half deep breath and I feel it already. If I bend over the pain increases and theres a very weird feeling going on when I do which I cannot explain. Its just a weird sensation.

I know I felt this before, but it was a fast pain and it went away, I went to bed yesterday hoping when I wake up it'll be gone but it isn't. I'm worry.

I want to know whats happening in my chest, I want to know or prevent anything that would cause any problem in my health as sooon as possible. If this is a bad thing or a will give me any problem.. I want to work it out fast. Thank you

i'm going to India next week and i often have trouble with a build-up of wax in my ears. i'm worried about it being a problem when we get on the plane. I've tried Otex and Audiclean, also Olive Oil and cotton buds- nothing seems to have worked overly well. I've had my ears syringed by the nurse, and that worked... for three days. Please, someone help me.

My brother punched me unexpectedly really hard in the forehead just the other day, he takes karate and I'm a nerd. Just bareknuckle, but it left an extreme bruise. I bent way over backwards from it, to like 90 degrees. Could this have caused any kind of brain injury or damage? AKA should I torture him to death?
