Well, at first I was going to say EVERY room, why waste the house by not "Doing It" everywhere? Then I saw the yoga part. Simple answer do it the room where you feel the most calm, quiet and peace.

But doing "it" in every room also helps and is a hell of a lot more fun than Yoga

The geography of site to practice yoga is as important as the fuctionality of the sight. Kitchen of front room can offer good sites provided they are situations devoid of distractions. Yoga involves concentration and focusing of energies, hence the need for one to become denced in energy. Therefore chose a place that allows for complete concentration of the mind, body and soul!

Both. First in the front room and then in the kitchen. You can practice yoga twice a day, can't you?

I thought you meant what I believe most people would think and what you thought would be what most people would think. In any event, the answer is the same: Anywhere on this earth or in space where you may enjoy the notions of privacy and not be invasive of others' notion of privacy. Rooms, decks, top of buildings, beside a stream, and infinite others that meet the above criteria.

I never answer a question without reading the whole thing but I must admit you got me. What ever room gives you the most space to relax. Wherever you feel the best energy. I think I should learn yoga it would probably be good for my back.

Whenever I do yoga I like a calm and quiet place with some space to put my yoga mat. Pick a room that has some natural light coming in and not artificial and a room that you won't be bothered by things like pets and family members.

Kitchen, easier for manoeuvrability, work surface is perfect height and comfy (if you have wall to lean against). Front room yes you have sofa, but not much room unless you have a very generously sized one (sofa that is!!) and carpet burn is no fun either. Hope this helps!

For yoga you can try anywhere you want, but for the other yoga
it will be more comfortable to use the front room

Oh Lydia, do not limit yourself in this way. By settling to yogarise yourself in only one room, you are placing artificial barriers between yourself and the whole yogic cosmos. Do it in a different room every day, and if you do not have seven rooms, may I suggest:

the Library
Sainsburys
round your Mum's
on the 73 bus

When you've done your yoga, and fancy a bit of the other - I've always been partial to the stairs, myself.
