it sounds like an allergy that used to happen to me coz i was allergic to cats. and rubbing your eye alot can also cause that

no. I work with kids and have gotten it a lot, but never had bleeding. I would go to the doctor if I ever saw blood in my eye. You might have busted a blood vesel from itching it too hard.
I did get internal bleeding once from that and it gave me a black eye and a red eyeball....is that what you mean?
I went to an eye specialist for some kind of drops to fix it faster. IT was gone in about a week.

No pink eye or conjunctivitis is caused by an infection or even an allergic response. Hemmorage in the occular organ can be caused by a sneeze which breaks a blood vessel or by high blood pressure. Get it seen to immediately!

Hi I agree with the other posts. this sounds like cherry eye. it is an infection of the tear duct, and can be very painful for the dog. there is a simple surgery the vet can perform that would fix it. if you leave it as it is, it can get much worse. I have a chihuahua who spends a lot of time outside, and he does not have this problem. You can try going to a humane society and seeing if they know of a place that can help you get the procedure done affordably for you.
