General Health Care - January 2007

It has been happening for a few months but I didnt think it was serious. One eye, usually the right but sometimes left goes very red and bloodshot. It doesnt hurt, but I do look a bit scary. Why do you think this is? How can I get rid of it? I tried taking anti inflammatories but t didnt really help, also I would rather take alternative medicine, any ideas?

so just this is the first year (im counting years by school years) that i have had this bad of sleeping disorders. its 3 am, im not tried, its been like this for awhile
so this year, i have had problems with stalkers, my friends (some are no longer my friends), grades, i just recently got dumped, everyone at school refures to me as "the slut" just cause i went out with someone a year older than me (big wow at my school)
but i mean i dont really pay attention to that stuff during school, only at night when im by myself
i have also gone full days without sleeping
other times i dont fall asleep till the suns out
but the earliest i have gone to sleep (recently) is 2:30 am
but the times i have gone full days without sleeping, is after me and my bf split (he was also cheating on me...)
but i mean, i really hardly ever think of that stuff

so do i have islumia (cant spell it, sorry) or depression?
or something else?

I've got an old burn scar on my leg - shiny, cellophane-y, no hair - and the burn itself took about 8 months to heal. But, I didn't feel a thing when I got it! And it started out just as a plain old blister, for three days or so...

I'm just curious, does anybody know what kind of burn this might have been? I didn't think blister-burns could be anything worse than second degree, but it just scarred so badly...

Do second degree burns usually scar like this? Or is the scar from something else - like bacteria getting in after the injury? (It was pretty nasty before it finally healed.)

I've just been curious - thanks!

I've been dealing with what I believe to be a migraine for the past few weeks.Never had one before and the pain and symptoms that went along with it were so intense I thought I was having a brain aneurysm/tumor.Luckily nothing showed up on the test results...I'm going to a neurologist in a few days for further testing.I was just wondering if these are signs of a migraine or possibly something else...........non-stop pulsating/throbbing in head, constant head pain(sometimes stays in one spot but can spread throughout head), EXTREME endless vertigo/spacey feeling(like walking through a fog),lethargy, visual distortions/double vision, sensitivity to light and a little to sound,short-term memory loss(which has been scaring the hell out of me), speech disturbance/slurring,loss of appetite, and just an overall high level of discomfort throughout each day which is inhibiting me to work or drive. Can anyone else relate to these symptoms? Has anything helped you gain relief in any way?

Tonight I reached for a metal pot to take it off of a burner and didn't think to grab a pot holder first because the burner wasn't on so I didn't think the pot was hot without fire.

Turns out, my brother in law to be had just finished making coffee and this I was unaware of. The pot was so hot that it took me at least 4 seconds to register in my head that the handle was burning the palm of my hand.

I pulled my hand away and looked at my palm to find that the handle had left a deep red impression on my palm. The impression of course will not go away until my hand heals. It is almost like what you see in westerns when the cow gets branded with the name or initals of the person who poked the cow with the brander. Its not that deep and I doubt its nearly that painful.

I do not think this burn calls for an emergeny room visit so please do not answer this question if your only response is "See a doctor" because I am not paying 200 dollars to stop my hand from stinging.

I have discharge coming from my vagina alot.... more than it should. it been happening for about 4 months now... but i think it may just doing that because i masturbate ALOT....like sometimes 3 times a day. I am now having tingling and numbness in my arms and hands? This is keeping me awake as I'm not able to fall asleep. Then when I do fall asleep the pain and or tingling and numbness awakens me. My hands are also swelling and getting very clumbsy. I take meds to help me sleep, but they are not working.

My husband has no depth of vision at all. I watch him try and try and try to reach for something before he actually gets it. Lately I have noticed that I can't judge how far away something is! The other day I had a hair hangingn off my arm, and I wanted to get it off. I tried to grab it a few times and I couldn't get my hands on that hair! I had to rub my arm against my shirt to get that stupid hair to fall off! I have noticed that when I put my contacts on I don't see as clear as I used to. It's progressively gotten worse since I had my child. I'm not due for a check-up yet, and I'm not that concerned or surprised that my vision is getting blurrier. But the fact that lately I can't judge how far away or close something is is really bothering me! Is this even possible? Can someone lose their depth of vision? Is this a sign of something more serious? Should I call the eye doctor? I'm really worried here...
