I am now having tingling and numbness in my arms and hands? This is keeping me awake as I'm not able to fall asleep. Then when I do fall asleep the pain and or tingling and numbness awakens me. My hands are also swelling and getting very clumbsy. I take meds to help me sleep, but they are not working.

I'm sorry you are going through this. My wife also has Diabetes and she thought she had neuropathy in her hands and arms but she went to the Doc and it turned out she actually had Carpal Tunnel, which can also send shooting pains up your arm and after she had surgery her hands and arms are just fine. Ask your doc to check for that and I hope it isn't any more serious for you. Good Luck

You need to see a your doctor about being tested for more than neropathy.
