Depends where you put it. In my experience these are the patch rules I followed:
Put it in a different place each time.
Try to put it in a place where you have little hair.
Try to put it in a place where you least perspire.
In the past, I have cut a fabric band aid into a circle and put it on top.
Places I put the patch
1) my shoulder
2)my shoulder blade
3) under the thick elastic on my panties (on the belly)
4)On my thigh (that works really well for me any way
5)right on the top of my hand.That worked well too, until I washed them.
6)on my butt
7)front upper thigh

That is all I can think of for now.
Oh right under my bra on the higher part of my breast.
