There is a cumulative effect to smoking, but it also depends on the general health of the person. If he/she has compromised immunity or other health risks ON TOP of smoking, it will take less cigarettes to ultimately do them in.

I once knew a guy who was a moderate smoker. He was in the Air Force and was supposed to do a 1-1/2 mile run as a fitness test. He smoked a cigarette just before he did the run and dropped dead of a heart attack on the track. The autopsy showed no hardening of the arteries. The decision was that the cigarette caused a vascular spasm of the heart arteries that was enough to kill him due to the exercise. So at least in this case, it only took one cigarette to kill a person.

Well, cigarettes mainly drain vitamins out of your system.
1 pack of cigarettes drain 2000 mg of C from your body so u
need to replace the vitamin to prevent from getting cancers.
Drinkin alcohol drains B vitamins.
Its a matter of puttin back in the body what habits take out.
Native American Indians used tobacco for medicine.

well to answr your question i would have to say none if you are around alot of second hand smoke and if you smoke i would have to say 1. but there is no clear answerto this. there have been people who have smoked all there lives and never had a problem and then there are those who have smoked for 5 years and walked away with ung cancer

one a day could kill you...it's not an exact number, it's what the poisons do to your lungs, how your body reacts with the poisions...each person is different.

any can kill you over time. if you dont smoke dont start if you do stop.
